“Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out.”

“Great stay! Could t fault the accommodation at all! 5 min drive from zip world, host left some extras for us, tea coffee sugar milk bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and shortbread! Excellent touch! Some nice walks nearby weather your a novice or a professional hiker something for everyone! Will definitely stay again! “Poor mattresses, one single power point in twin bedroom , sleeps 4 but only 3 drinking mugs & 3 forks, no kitchen knives, no outdoor furniture even though a notice told you to store it, no where to hang wet towels etc, light switch in double bedroom behind door, loose shower bracket, difficult shower controls, advertised patio is inaccurate, it is merely the shared walkway for the estate. The location is wonderful. Overall not worth the price. ”

“Super hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. Plentiful overnight parking in the long stay carpark behind the hotel. Some traffic noise as it is an old building with single glazing but that is to be expected. ”
