What you can expect

Your first stop takes you toShihtoushan Park, once a significant military restricted zone due to its elevated terrain. Preserving its natural beauty, the park boasts lush primary vegetation and offers captivating vistas of Twin Candlestick Islets (Double Rock) emerging from the sea.

Next, you'll explore the renowned Huanggang Community Public Hot Springs Centre, boasting one of the most picturesque foot swimming pools on the Northern Coast of Taiwan. Brimming with iron-rich hot spring water, the pool’s unique golden brown hue results from oxidation, giving rise to its name, “Golden Spring”.

After pampering your feet with a relaxing soak, set off on a gourmet journey along Jinshan Old Street. From the famous Jinshan Duck Meat to sweet potatoes, indulge in a variety of culinary delights such as scallion pancakes, etc. Lunch expenses are on your own, so relish the flavours and atmosphere of this historic 300-year-old street during your food adventure!

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely ride along the Northern Coast to your next destination, the Temple of Eighteen Deities. During the temple's renovation, a grand 30-meter-tall bronze statue of the loyal dog was installed, serving as a lasting tribute to its ultimate sacrifice.

After exploring the temple, your next stop is Shimen Stone Arch,a natural wonder sculpted by the relentless force of sea waves and geological uplift. This unique rock formation boasts a 10-meter-tall arch, offering visitors panoramic views of the expansive sky and endless sea.

Up next is the seasonal gem, the exclusive Laomei Green Reef, recognised by CNN as one of Taiwan's eight wonders. Each year from March to May, the reef's surface is constantly battered by waves from the northeast monsoon, fostering the growth of algae. The mesmerising green hue of the reef is a result of this algae growth. This enchanting spectacle attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually, all eager to capture its captivating beauty.

Before concluding your tour, prepare for a captivating detour to Laomei Maze. This circular labyrinth, constructed of brick walls, exudes an enchanting charm reminiscent of a mystical insignia left by extraterrestrial visitors.

Lastly, you'll venture to the northernmost point of Taiwan, Fugui Cape Lighthouse. Surrounding the lighthouse is a scenic walking trail, beckoning visitors to meander and soak in the awe-inspiring coastal panoramas of Taiwan's Northern Coast.
