Description

This cruise brings you the chance to explore on land and by sea, the stunning Catalina Island. You'll get to snorkel on the cristal-clear waters of this virgin beach and enjoy a delicious lunch by the shores.

Your trip starts with a ride from your hotel to the port of La Romana, where a comfortable motorised catamaran waits to carry you out to sea. Get some photos of the Dominican coast while you cruise out into the waters around Catalina Island and then, don your mask, fins and snorkel as you prepare to dive in.

Once you're immersed in the beauty of the tropical waters, admire the corals and the tropical wildlife that fill the reef system that protects the island. You get plenty of time to explore before you step ashore for lunch on the gorgeous Catalina Beach.

You may give this trip a nice finish by relaxing on the boat, with some drinks from the open bar, as you return to La Romana for the bus ride back to your hotel.

It was longer than listed and there are included activities that were not listed. Also, the staff was less helpful with the English speaking tourist.

Tour guide and catamaran crew friendly and fun. Enjoyed beach combing on the island, great opportunity for photos. Delicious lunch and loud, high energy entertainment.

I called to confirm the pickup time 4 days prior, and again the day before. I was told a driver would pick myself and guest up at 7:20am. We arrived at the lobby of our hotel where we were told the driver would be and sat outside at 7:00am. Two other companies arrived and I spoke to both, one was a golf excursion and the other was a airport transfer. At 7:40am, our driver still did not show up. Our bellhop comfirmed the company never showed. He called the company and asked for an ETA, and we were told they came, waited for 2 minutes and left because we were not there. Obviously a lie. I am assuming the driver went to the wrong location, still waiting for a refund as I had to book the same excursion again for thin next day and pay. Worried to use Expedia again for our trip to Jamaica in September as this trip was an anxiety attack, and the airport transfer was also 30 minutes late which was also booked through Expedia.
