Description

Fly back in time on the divine wings of Mozart's music. Feast on 18th-century recipes under candlelight in a meticulously restored baroque hall as an orchestra performs pieces from renowned classics, including Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute.

Salzburg is a jewel of European art and history. Its former rulers - wealthy bishops of the Catholic Church - supported many painters and musicians, lavishing culture on the city. The city's most famous son is undoubtedly Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose sublime masterpieces are still renowned and popular worldwide.

Enter another world set in a beautiful baroque dining room and concert hall. An orchestra of professional musicians and opera singers entertains you with live performances from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute, among other well-known compositions.

During the intervals, taste three courses of authentic dishes based on 18th-century recipes. Courses include: a lemon-chicken broth with a dumpling of curd cheese and rosemary; stuffed breast of roasted capon (chicken) on glaze of red wine with potatoe gratin and garden vegetables; wild honey parfait with 2 different fruit sauces.

Entertainment was fantastic! Performers were very interactive with the audience as well. Service was good as was the food but arrived lukewarm.

The overall experience was grand.... the light and atmosphere and music was beautiful However the cost beverages was insane we had to purchase water NO drinks were included including water.... 1 bottle cost 8euros which translates to about $10 Canadian.... when we asked for just tap water we were told no because we can sell you that..🤨 and once we didn’t purchase wine we were not attended to staff a bit snobbish..... I felt very low class even those the experience cost us $300 CD

Not my cup of tea by have to admit it was well done. Unfortunately the table we were placed on didn’t gel because only one person had English (and to my shame) I didn’t speak a 2nd language. Organisers could have done better on this. Drinks too expensive. But now the positives. Really impressive 18th century venue, good food too and the musicians were first class particularly the lady soprano. Many classical music fans will love this.
