“We walked into the hotel at 8pm. There was a single person working the front desk. She was doing the best she could but a long line had formed. Their was a smell of smoke in the entryway. Many people were having issues with their door keys failing. Walking to our room we could tell that the carpet and wallpaper was old. Didn't see any cleaning staff or anyone else. “The staff at Drury Inn & Suites Southwest St. Louis were one of the highlights of the property. They were very friendly and wanted to make the stay an excellent experience. For us, the location was important. This was a central location at a good value.”

“The room was clean and spacious, but that's about the only positive. The clerk at check in seemed like I was bothering her by being there; the parking lot was sketchy. When I went to my room, the room next door had 2 folding chairs outside and an ashtray that must have had 30+ cigarette butts in it on the ground. “Old building. Toilet didn’t really flush well and the shower wasn’t properly cleaned.”

“The room was filthy. The fridge didn't work. There are no microwaves in the rooms. The heat was broken and the AC was falling apart and obnoxiously loud. No plastic silverware or napkins offered at the front. There are cockroaches all around the outside but thankfully not in the room. The staff could barely communicate because they are foreign. And they still charge a 50$ deposit before check in which was not mentioned when I booked the room.”
