“The hotel is on last end of jaco beach, far from confusion. I stayed here just one night and had an economy room, which are on the main building, close to the Costanera Sur road, and then quite noisy. My room was spacious but a bit old. From what i could see, the condos on the beach are nicer, and are more quiet for sure. Nice beach and kind staff. Restaurant average but expensive. Included continental breakfast was quite poor.”

“Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing ”

“My 2 week stay was great staying here the location was ideal the grounds were well maintained the staff, very friendly and helpful hotel car service was top notch = on time for pickup and my return to airport stopping at his recommended soda for breakfast i plan on returning in March I never wrote a review but this hotel i felt needed to be publicly appreciated ”

“Hotel a 5 km da Jacò, isolato con spiaggia non attrezzata. Onde alte ideali per surf ma non ottimali per fare il bagno. Spiaggia di sabbia scura. Pulizia appena sufficiente. Facile invasione di formiche. Scarafaggi nei corridoi e nelle camere specie ai piani bassi. Colazione molto spartana e scarsina. Wifi molto lento specialemnte nelle camere”

“Breakfast choice limited but fine. Staff very helpful. Felt like a Costa Rica hotel, not a big chain, but still had what we needed - good aircon in room, swimming pool, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, close to beach and lots of restaurants.”

“Il posto avrà visto tempi migliori. La colazione era mediocre, poca scelta. La spiaggia piena di sassi e di filtro d i sigarette. Il personale ha fatto il possibile con quello che aveva. Sempre gentili. Per la spesa, le camere erano brutte, anche se spaziose. Basterebbe poco per mettere a posto. La delusione era la spiaggia, sdraie scomodissime, rotte, sassi e cani che defecano in spiaggia. Niente ombrelloni.”
