“Good”

“I had to call him 3 times to come down and check me in. Didn’t start out good.A place to rest your head.We didn’t touch the breakfast.Not so appealing.”

“Wifi and television did not connect so we were unable to work on our computers or even watch local channels. Room was poorly lit and smelled stale. Bathroom is cramped with poor venting and extremely small shower stall. Walls are extremely thin; can hear people clearly in the hall and next door. Overall was a bed to sleep in and nothing more.”

“I LIKED HOW QUIET THE MOTEL WAS AT NIGHT. I DID NOT HERE ANY SOUNDS FROM THE OTHER ROOMS NEARBY.THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. SORRY I DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BREAKFAST. THE SHOPS AROUND THE MOTEL WERE VERY PLENTIFUL, IT WAS HARD TO DECIDE WHICH RESTAURANT TO GO TO.”

“My room was super clean. For an older motel it was painted and fresh and new looking and I live parking right in front of my door. The property had baskets of flowers at each door which were stunning. A wonderful touch and the pricing was extremely good considering being the the lakes area of NW Iowa. Will definitely recommend to others and stay again when I'm in the area.”

“I was a solo traveler who stayed for one night only, but it was a good night's stay for a quite reasonable price. Had I traveled with a larger group who stayed for longer, I would have been able to get even more value from the place. My room had 2 queen beds and a daybed for the couch. The bathroom was smallish, but adequate, and clean. Inside the main room was another sink, if I recall correctly, and not a full sized refrigerator, but a larger hotel fridge. “The staff was very welcoming and available. We enjoyed a drink at the bar later in the evening. The bartender ensured we were happy with our drinks! The breakfast room was a long way from our room and there was a problem with the decaf coffee - a minor inconvenience. The pool was even further away but, we ended up with no extra time to swim anyway. Our rooms were comfortable and clean.”

“Our room was filthy. Garbage under the bed and in the corners, including a used tin of chewing tobacco, beer caps, moldy food rappers, and dead bugs all over the floor by the window. Both beds had dead bugs in it too. Pillow cases were dirty with what looked like sweat marks. Makes you wonder if the sheets were even cleaned at alll. No microwave, fridge, or breakfast as advertised. The diner on the property was closed due to the cool quitting? This stay and hotel was a total bust. Owner wouldn’t...
