“The Station House was in many ways ideal. The room was roomy and well furnished, the access to the extra communal room where we could sit and make tea and coffee and keep fresh milk and food in a fridge was excellent. Two small things let it down. The reception was across the road in the associated hotel. Once in the hotel the notice said the reception was upstairs but there was no obvious reception desk up there. “Rudimentary accommodation. Check in was a distraction with two young children being minded constantly. Door let light through from hallway all night and you could hear everything.”

“Yes the property is very dog friendly which we love and the staff are extremely attentive and welcoming the bar has plenty to offer drinks wise and the food and menu are literally out of this world.”

“The property was beautiful but a little of town. Very limited taxi/cabs available therefore one has to ensure that they are organized and pre-book transportation. The staff was extremely accommodating and very polite and helpful”

La cucina era chiusa ma ci hanno fatto accomodare e ci hanno offerto toast e birra dato che non avevamo cenato ed eravamo stanchi. Questa mattina ci hanno aiutato con l’auto. “My wife and I loved this place. It was very charming and the staff were great. The food was excellent as we had dinner and breakfast. We had the small plates for dinner because the restaurant was booked full but our small plate dishes were excellent. Quite frankly I would have the small plates for dinner rather than a full dinner. I would definitely go back to this place and recommend to friends traveling to Scotland”
