“I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was worried about the parking not being secure and the hotel being in a bad area, but we had no issues at all with our stay. Parking did cost $17, and they had a metal gate to make it "secure". We didn't leave any valuables in the car and didn't have any problems. “This is a fairly new, smallish hotel. The room and beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff, if I remember correctly, cleaned the room every other day, which was fine for us. The room with 2 queen beds is long and narrow, with a useful seating area at one end but not much storage, and a bit of a tight squeeze between the bed and the desk. Bathroom is nice and clean. “The folks at Sens Hotel were so helpful and kind. I canceled one room on Expedia 48 hours before, but it didn't show up as canceled for Hotel Sens', or on Expedia for that matter. Sens canceled the room on their end, then Expedia showed the upcoming refund. The folks at Sens were very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely go back. The hotel is right in the middle of North Berkeley's foodie row.”

“The room was a strong musty oder in the room, and the air conditioner made a loud buzzing noise every time it cycled on waking us up each time. The room wasn’t properly cleaned fingerprints everywhere and dirty windows. Thirty dollars to park in an unsupervised parking lot. Never again!”
