“Lovely quirky place hosts and staff were lovely.absolute highlight was the food served in the beautifull train carriage,we both had the steak highly reccomend it as good as the ivy.entertainment both nights really enjoyed,lovely garden. Hosts very hands on and hard working after 7 months hard work hope they can have a little break.”

“Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon”

“Great bed and a fan in the room”

“Struttura molto carina. Camera grande, pulita e silenziosa. Qualche difficoltà con i comandi della doccia. Molto caldo, vista l'assenza dell'aria condizionata (ma in reception era possibile chiedere dei ventilatori). Colazione dolce già pronta o salata preparata sul momento dietro ordinazione. Estremamente gentile e disponibile il personale della reception, in particolare il ragazzo italiano che ci ha assistiti.”

“Ambiente pulito, moderno, all'altezza della categoria. Peccato per i letti con i soliti piumini che, almeno per noi italiani abituati alle lenzuola, sono sempre eccessivamente caldi e scomodi. Buona la colazione. Parcheggio ampio e comodo.”

“Really lovely place. Very quiet and peaceful. A bit off the beaten track but still only half an hour away from Bristol. Really comfortable bed, and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. I wouldn’t say this if it wasn’t true! Only one minor point is that the shower head was a bit too low for me, as I’m around 6’ tall.”

“Perfect place for our 1 night stay. Lovely area right along the river/canal that you can walk along. There is a restaurant/bar but we headed into Bath for dinner. Breakfast was preordered which was great as it was ready for the time specified in the morning. Lots of options (all cooked - no cereals).”

“The room was far too hot. There was a thick winter 13 tog duvet on our bed ( and it was June weather) my husband asked for a blanket and sheet so the cleaner took away duvet but only left a sheet no blanket, so we were then cold on our second night and had to put our light raincoats on ourselves to keep warm:( The bed was far too small with it being a small double. Suggest you get smaller bedsize cabinets thsn the chunky ones and invest in a wider king-size bed for comfort for guests!”

“The room was very dainted could do with a reverb in the bedrooms stayed on the hottest weekend in June and all we had was a old small fan in the room Bathroom could do with a very deep clean. Pub itself was nice. Stuff behind the bar were very friendly. Landlord was grumpy and chose to see it with both their big air-condition fans facing himself.”

“Ho soggiornato al Pecking Mill Inn per solo una notte, poiché di passaggio, e tutto è stato perfetto! Il proprietario ci ha accolti con estrema cordialità nonostante fossero quasi le 10 di sera, una persona deliziosa! Camera pulita, comoda e funzionale, non manca nulla. Il posto è tranquillo e silenzioso, nel mezzo della campagna. La colazione davvero ottima e abbondante! Se dovessi ricapitare da queste parti tornerei sicuramente! ”

“The George is a really cute historic inn that is situated in a quiet, magical little village - it is literally right across the street from the ruin of a Norman castle. While you need to leave town to get to Frome or Bath, the bus stop is located right outside the inn. It has a friendly little pub that serves good food and is frequented by guests and locals. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean. There is no air conditioning but we had a fan which was adequate. It felt...
