“By sheer chance we ended up at the Three Cups - and it is a delightful family run traditional (as in 500 years old traditional) coaching inn. The food was fantastic, both at dinner time and breakfast. Very personal attention paid to everything. Beautiful gardens, with streams running through. The village is spectacular, with wonderful little shops, as well as the trout streams running right through. ”

“Welcoming and friendly host (Julia) who met us on arrival and showed us to our room after showing us the breakfast room and downstairs facilities. Bedroom was well furnished and clean as well as the very large bathroom which had both shower and bath. Small fridge in bedroom stocked with chilled water and milk and lots of supplies to make drinks. Very quiet area, peaceful sleep. Lots of choice at breakfast (continental), self-serve. Parking on site, felt a safe area to walk to local restaurant....

“Lovely little Hotel right in the center of Romsey. Parking is Free in Council Parks from 4pm until 8-30am. Good food in Restaurant for evening meal and also for Breakfast. I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care. ”

“Don't usually do reviews however, happy to do so for the Cromwell Arms. Impressed with the design of the room and how well laid it was. Complimentary water, coffee, biscuits, fresh milk and a bottle of beer provided. Thanks for acknowledging partner's birthday - card appreciated. Although the room fronted a busy road, the double glazing was very effective. Air con also worked well. Food and drink were good and took advantage of the fixed price evening meal - well priced and beautifully cooked....

“We had an amazing stay, the Old Vine is a beautiful historic building in central Winchester. The room was comfortable and immaculate, the bed was comfortable and the bedding and pillows were great, thebathroom was large and very clean. We had breakfast in our room which was delicious and hot and plentiful. All the staff were great and very attentive.”

“For the price we paid, the room was rather sub par to be honest. Most particularly the bed had a very cheap mattress by good hotel standards. Particularly since this was billed as a "premium" room. There was a problem with damp on the carpet in the room too. On the positive the young couple running the place were very friendly and the chef very helpful. Didn't try the food so can't comment. they just need to spend some money on the rooms to justify the prices they are charging.”
