“Visiting Clarkes is like stepping back in time. The architecture of the building makes such a refreshing change from the modern hotels of concrete, glass and over the top air conditioning. Our room was lovely and was beautifully furnished and the public areas of the hotel were also thoughtfully presented. Although some people might find it a little formal, the staff were friendly and polite without exception. We would stay there again without hesitation.”

“The hotel is in excellent location since it is on the top of the hill. But the road to the hotel from the main road is a dirt road which is very hard to find. We missed two times to find the road. We also found the other drivers had the same problem of finding this little hidden road.Management needs to improve the sign on the road. Otherwise the hotel was excellent in all respect”
