“Property was filthy. Owner/ management had personal family in lobby in evening. Pool closed at 6:00 pm We checked in 4:30 pm came back from dinner went to room and roaches crawled from behind television and onto cabinet, had to jump out of the way. Filthy carpet in room and hallways. Very rundown. We reported to counter girl and canceled our 4 night stay. “We booked a 3 night stay over 4th of July weekend. The price was an incredible value! Our room was good sized, with a not-so-mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a sink. The king sized bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower was strong and refreshing. Enough towels for two, that were switched for fresh ones. Every single employee, from the front desk to the housekeeper, was friendly and smiling and willing to please. My husband went down for breakfast twice. The first day...

“The first floor room was close to a very loud and busy street. I thought perhaps new weather stripping around the door would help in the future. The apples in the choice of continental breakfast items were old and bruised and the hot water dispenser for tea failed to work. But the staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is old and needs some upgrades but I did feel safe there.”

“Nothing Roon has ants in the bathroom, show water was scolding hot and loose shower head, toilet tank parts inside tank came apart which we had to fix, kids running for hours up and down the halls and slamming doors, TV playing all night next door, breakfast was awful and cold eggs. Very slippery bathroom including the shower to stand in and the floor was sticky. This entire hotel needs to be upgraded. Never again at this comfort inn. Big mistake and paid $1200 to stay that long. 🙁”

“The room was not ready when they gave us the key to check in. They immediately change another room for us but only 1 set of towels for 2 people for 3 nights stay. One of the associates from front desk was very stingy (he was having a hard time to focus to work and also not friendly) and not willing to give us only 1 more set of towels and recommended me to get it from the housekeeper which is convenient for him but not to the guests. “First, the property did not show my reservation. Since I had printed out the stay, they gave a room that was not clean (beds unmade, wet towels in the room, and food wrappers). I was also told that the office closes at 11:00 pm. The next room assigned was clean with the exception of a chair that was filthy (by the patio door). “Very cute accommodation, big parking space on the property. It's very close, less than a 5-minute drive to the center of Mount Dora. Very thoughtful and reasonably priced snacks and drinks are available. It was quiet, and we slept amazingly. Highly recommend this accommodation. We went to two different springs from here and just spent some time in the cute Mount Dora city center.”
