“My take on the room… There was a separate/private room, but unfortunately it was very hard to sleep there. And the room had a very strong, unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The bed near the sliding door felt unstable (tilted), the pillows were very hard. Service was okay, but it could easily be improved. For the price you pay per night, I expected a higher level of comfort and attention to detail. At check-out, no one asked how the stay was, I had to bring it up...

“King sized rooms have stunning views with balconies to enjoy. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Always at your service and attentive. We also received massages and the masseuse was great. I wish the pool was cleaned a little more throughout the day since the breeze can blow leaves/bugs into the infinity pool. What a beautiful experience and we hope to be back. ”

“Very rustic but the place is just so charming it’s hard to complain. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Has a ton of potential to be a really beautiful resort but enjoyed the rustic experience nonetheless. Is a 10 minute walk into El Tunco which we enjoyed, but if you want to be in town something to consider”

“My 7 y/o son and I recently stayed at " The Reef" Hotel for 10 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and view were really fun and amazing. The hotel was very family friendly, the food and service were really great. I would recommend staying there.”

“The property is in severe disrepair: broken walkways, dirty walls, and damaged outdoor furniture. Both pools were unusable (cloudy water, mold, rust). The room was in unacceptable condition: dirty floors with dead insects, ants on furniture and bed, broken fixtures, and very poor cleanliness. The bathroom was also problematic (no hot water, mold, unstable toilet seat, hair in the drain). We contacted the booking platform shortly after arrival to request a change due to the condition of the...

“The room was clean and had the air conditioner full blast. The staff was really nice and helpful. Getting to the property had a bumpy road but the beach outside of the property is pretty. There was only sand and no rocks. Breakfast was included which was a plus, the problem was that it took a while but it was tasty. ”
