“A lovely cosy Pub , Hidden away just of the main road. Good food, Staff very attentative, A good atmosphere. Will be staying there again next year for the Retro festival weekend.”

“This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff upon arrival were friendly and welcoming showing us to our rooms in the beautiful building, and showing us the communal lounge with complimentary whiskey and comfortable sofas. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a large comfortable beds, TV, coffee machine and kettle. “Set on a picturesque canal, a garden by the waters edge with waddling ducks coming to say hello, the staff team here are caring and kind. Our room had an old but very modern feel and as a couple we discussed the art on the walls. We've had a lovely stay and we're made to feel very welcome.”

“Lovely pub with rooms. Went for a friends birthday and had a super time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m coeliac and the choice of gluten free food was very good. The fish and chips were excellent! Would highly recommend.”

“We stayed here one night as my niece was getting married and having her wedding venue just down the road in the village Hall. The room was lovely, very clean and every thing you would need, to a very high standard. We didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on that.”

“Food, staff and vibe was amazing however i was not paticularly impressed with the accommodation. A bit tired and stuffy”

“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. ”

“Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was modern and had all the usual facilities.”

“We have stayed here a couple of times , they go above and beyond to make it a pleasant stay, they also include an excellent breakfast plus another nice touch is the tipple in the room ,”
