“Very quaint and like stepping back in time. Well maintained and rustic with the woods facing the patio door. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are already planning a return trip.”

“The property was clean and well maintained. We stayed in room #3 and it was very nice. The breakfast consisted of only a cranberry muffin and Keurig coffee. Most restaurants and businesses in and around the town are closed on Monday and Tuesday.”

“For a contactless check-in method, the staff were very accessible -easy to communicate with; the method was great. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. I met the owners and staff the morning after I checked in (late @ 11:45pm). They couldn't have been more hospitable. I stayed at the Walnut Inn out of necessity, attending a friend's father's funeral, and the Inn could not have been a better place for me to stay. “The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad.”

“Great location, but the hotel obviously is old. Time for mattress and pillow replacements. Hard and lumpy. Add a little insulation to the walls as well. Didn’t get time to experience the breakfast or pool or any other amenities…. It’s an old New England hotel and just needs a little TLC. Also mop the floors between guests. ;)”

“We stayed 5 days in the ground floor coach house room which was a lovely, large room with a sitting and dinning area as well as a private patio area. The room was lovely, AC worked great on an extremely hot week and the breakfast, all days snacks and common area were great as well. The staff was helpful with tips about things to do in the area. We had a great visit.”
