Hotel a Wakonda

“Very clean. Nice staff. The room was updated recently. The exterior is dated but well maintained. ”

“Parking and proximitiy to University of South Dakota is incredible. Outside appearance is average, but interior is recently remodled and very clean. Was quiet and peacefull. very little traffic or noise after 9pm. Basic Motel with few aminities, but very clean and priced perfectly for its offerings. Would easily stay again if visiting USD and didnt' plan to spend much time in the room.”

“Overall we had a good stay. The property was going through a renovation which impacted our stay. The room we stayed in was already renovated and was very nice. Noise level was not a problem either. Breakfast was pretty good as well. ”

“The room itself was great and the continental breakfast was wonderful; however, a fire alarm test happened without notification which the staff said they tried calling our room to warn us, but we did not receive a phone call, nor did my neighbor. Not a big deal, but just an unnecessary inconvenience.”

“Seriously, folks, we must have stayed when the hotel was understaffed. The bed in our room had a yellowish wet spot in the middle of the mattress which forced us to switch rooms. The “fitted” bed sheets were placed 90 degrees the wrong way and kept coming off. The toilet seat was not fastened to the toilet. The room frig’s 4-inch wide freezer was iced over so much that you could only fit something 1-inch wide in it. The hallways were messy. The only redeeming quality was the honest efforts of...

“The hotel was being rennovated to an extreme that made it difficult. Signage is all on the floors. We were given a different room style than what we reserved (with no discount) that had outlets and blinds that did not work. No sheets or pillows were included for the pull out couch. There was renovation dust all over one wall. It was not disclosed that the pool was closed. There were signs for a vending machine that we were then told doesn't exist.They ran out of food at the free breakfast.”
