Best Waterfront Property on Clearlake
I have stayed in various properties on the Lake over the last few years. This was BY FAR the best one. Everything in the description is accurate or better. Impeccably clean, every you need, nice linens, plenty of towels, equipped kitchen, beautiful fenced back yard with fire pit. The dock was amazing and the mini-patio in the middle was a nice feature in the evenings. Host was very responsive when we wanted to extend our stay. I rate this property A+++! Close to grocery store, restaurants, Upper Lake cute town, close to several wineries. This would definitely be our target place to stay when we return. A cut above any other property!!!

Has it all!
We had a wonderful stay here over a stormy, rainy long weekend in February. The house is so comfortable, clean, and perfectly set up for a family that wants to be together but also likes some separate time. On a clear night, we had a fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. We enjoyed the hot tub. We fished off of the private pier and hung out on the covered patio on the pier. We day tripped to Clear Lake State Park and to a restaurant in Lakeport called On the Waterfront, which I recommend for food and winter tasting. We cooked at home and found the kitchen to be fully stocked and adequate. The view from the deck off of the master is lovely for a parent escape. Just an all around relaxing time.

Christmas Getaway
It was a great house for our Christmas vacation! We were welcomed by a tray of hot cocoa mix, candies & a bottle of wine! Susan did a great job decorating the house for Christmas! The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of room on the inside of the house & backyard was great for the dogs!

Sunset Beach House
My family and I had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Sunset Beach House. The direct access to the lake for swimming and fishing was perfect for water enthusiasts like my family. The property was immaculately clean, and its proximity to stores made it convenient for any last-minute needs. The hot tub and fire pit were delightful additions to our stay, adding that extra touch of relaxation and enjoyment. I would without a doubt choose to stay here again in the future. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish!

Birthday weekend at the lake!
It was a beautiful property and very relaxing. We floated on the water, kayaked and fished. The only downside was the knats. They got into the house at night. But other than that it was a perfect weekend.

The Lawrence family had one of the most wonderful lake vacation's in your beautiful rental house. All the upgrades and new beds were fantastic! The house was super clean when we came in and the floors were spotless! Thank you and see you next summer!!

Amazing lakehouse
I absolutely recommend this lakehouse. A beautiful home and so extremely welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils... The backyard was great for hanging out & playing horseshoes. Although we didn't catch any fish there is plenty of space for fishing.

Through out our monthlong wait to move into our new home in Kelseyville, we stayed in the following pet friendly places, the Skylark, Blue Lakes Lodge, a nightmare AirB&B, the Famed Dome house and was hands down the last vacation rental we booked, Jon And Susan’s~ SUNSET BEACH HOUSE. Five Stars in every aspect, for those fortunate enough to get to spend time here, you’ll definitely understand why everything else is a far second in comparison. At home feeling.
Perfect. We are 8 hrs away, loved the house, the amenities, the dock. Host is great. Caught a fish the last day, next time we will spend more time fishing. Not a resort area, but you can definitely feel comfortable and relax here. Lovely experience. Thank you.

This is a beautiful home with a beautiful view for those looking to fish!
This home is beautiful, well stocked, great floor plan and the beds and linens are exceptional. Susan is also exceptional and so accommodating. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the lake (not ideal for kids to swim in) but it’s a great fishing lake and having a fire pit next to the lake is cool! Just a note if you are bringing kiddos, there are lots of gnats around the lake, they don’t bite but the kids didn’t enjoy them. We had a great time visiting the area and using Susan’s place as our home base (blue lake is 15 mins away and better for swimming and lake activities for kids, wine tasting and trip to San Francisco made perfect day trips). Thank you Susan!

great spot for fun times in nice!
this is a great spot for gathering your family and friends at clearlake. photos do not do it justice! it’s really a wonderful home - so spacious. the backyard and patio area is really quite enjoyable! you can’t beat the private dock/pier access right across from the home’s driveway. sitting out there over the water in the morning, afternoon and evenings for sunset is just lovely. even with the lower lake level these days, its still tops. hot tub on side of house is a nice little bonus. the bird watching here is simply incredible!! do keep the doors/windows without screens closed in the summer evenings - those tiny gnats will definitely find their way inside. they are harmless but could be annoying to some people. john and susan were so nice. they were around if needed and easy to talk with but otherwise offered privacy. would definitely rent this home again and we hope to be back. could not have been a better location for labor day weekend and our group of six. thank you!

The Sunset Beach House was great. Our family and friends had a great time. The house was clean and well maintained. Jon and Susan were very responsive to any question we had. Susan even referred us to her neighbor who had a pontoon boat for rent. We enjoyed our time there and would go again.

Wonderful week on the lake.
House is sparking clean, with a large well-outfitted kitchen, plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor space. Great dock with lots of shade, room for our little sailboat and our motor boat. Easy fishing from the dock. (We caught and released.) Young adults enjoyed the hot tub after lake time. One of the nicest houses we’ve found available for vacation rental in Clearlake.

A wonderful very well maintained house.
The house met and exceeded all our expectations, everything was very clean up to date and very well maintained. The foosball table was an unexpected bonus as was the canoe that was included. Nothing was left to be desired. Having a jetski, kayaks and boats available for rent right next door was also a very nice convenient bonus that we took full advantage of.

A home away from home...
We love it so much that hubby have already asked we book again next year for his bday. We enjoyed every moment during our stay especially our fishing adventure. The house was perfect for us and equipped with everything that one will need during any length of stay. Clean house with lots to offer. Perfect place to stay by the lake
This house was exceptional! Foosball table, piano, big kitchen with 6 stools at the counter. Horseshoes, Weber bbq, fire pit in the backyard and down by the lake. Access to the dock was easy and great. Fishing was a blast off the private and covered dock. My wife caught her first fish ever. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Owners were extremely nice. First time we haven’t turned on a tv while on vacation.

Beautiful getaway
The house is spacious, we were able to have 8 of us stay quite comfortably and there were still empty beds. Great view of the lake from the easily accessible dock. The property manager greeted us when we arrived to warn us of a couple items that needed fixing so we could avoid them easily. We had a nice relaxing time, taking walks around the lake, cooking smores in the backyard fire pit, and playing games together and were thankful for the nice place to do all that.

Christmas at the Lake
My family and our pets decided to spend holiday at the lake, as Covid held us apart for so long we needed some quality time together. This property was perfect, lots of room for keeping our space restrictions, enjoyed going outside for a walk around Lake and dock areas, a ride in canoe, took several wonderful pictures. We enjoyed hot tub, and took a short ride around lake area, and parks, took a trip on Xmas Skunk Train. Kitchen was clean lots of utensils, as we cooked meals there, put puzzle together, played games, watched movies, just enjoyed being together. They had home decorated with beautiful Xmas tree, lights outside, memorable times, thank you!

Relaxing Lake Celebration
My family had a wonderful time at the Sunset Beach House. My teens had a good time in the hot tub and playing games. Sunset time was enjoyed by everyone on the dock. It was a really special place to celebrate my son's 14th birthday during the time of Covid. We really enjoyed being able to relax and spend time together prior to Christmas, even our Pups loved it there. It was so peaceful. Thank you!

We loved the house and the location of it. Kayaking was fun too. There was no power for a whole day but John had a generator running for the entire time with no issues. Will definitely recommend.

Great Family Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jon's property! The house was extremely clean and included all the amenities that you might need to accommodate a large family for a few days including enough towels! The kitchen was spotless and spacious and included all the necessary pans for preparing and serving most anything on your menu without running into anyone else. The backyard was/is spacious and has plenty of relaxing seating. The foosball game and horseshoe location were life savers for grandson and provided plenty of challenging games over the course of a few days. Several of the group also enjoyed the private dock. Thank you for providing a lovely property in which to gather safely as a family!

We had an awesome time at the lake house! Great location, beautiful views, and we loved the house. Plenty of room with the open floor plan, great loft for the kids, and the room were much larger than appearance in the photos. About 15 minutes drive to boat rentals and Blue Lakes where we enjoyed swimming! Property is awesome for a lakeside getaway with the kids.

Great house. Very clean and well maintained. Convenient lake access. The lake water was clear, cool, and beautiful for swimming. The area has been hit hard by the Covid-19 shutdowns and was very quite with few other visitors. We had the lake to ourselves most days and saw 2-3 fishing boats each day, and a pair of jet skis in the distance a coupe days. Fishing was great. There can be blooms of unhealthy algae in August and September in certain parts of the lake. These blooms have been happening for 10s of thousands of years. The lake is regularly tested every 2 weeks during the summer. Blue lake is a short drive north up 20. A must!

Very clean rental, nice stay
This home is one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. The home is as advertised with plenty of sleeping space, clean bathrooms, and a nice kitchen. The fenced in yard worked great for the dog. The only issues were the spiders which were everywhere outside. Every day we had to sweep down the dock and patio furniture to be able to use it for the day. Also, the birds like to sit under the patio covering on the dock which meant lots of bird poop that had to also be washed down daily. Also, the owners own the home right in front of the unit. You cannot swim near the dock due to the algae but we caught some great fish from here. The town has some questionable people so stay together. Overall, great unit even with the few issues out of their control.

Beautiful location
The house and views are beautiful!!! Enjoyed many sunsets and camp fires at night. Unfortunately never having been to Clear Lake, we were not aware the water has ALOT of algae making swimming not very nice. We did have great swimming on lower Blue Lake 15 min away.
