Lovely overnight stay in a clean and stylish room with a comfortable firm bed. Was able to sleep well despite being right near a busy main road, good soundproofing. Breakfast was a delicious and extensive buffet style with a nice range of options. The whole atmosphere was calm and trendy, with a convenient location for our stay.
There were a few little odd issues like some lift buttons being damaged and TV being a bit temperamental. Could do with a little TLC in that respect but it didn't stop our stay being enjoyable.

The area locally while being subject to works because of HS2, was filled with undesirable characters at night, and so walking back late evening was not a nice experience.

Clean, comfortable and it felt secure. Comms all by text, but responsive. Didn’t meet anyone personally. Be aware you will be asked for a deposit by bank transfer which was not highlighted on Expedia - it worked fine and was transferred back to me within 24 hours. Nothing nearby, aside from Aldi.

"This historic property is charming and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay in king bed rooms. There are a lot of stairs but that is expected in a historic building. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the on site restaurant. The staff is helpful and friendly."
