Thank you for your review. What a shame you had a bad weather week. The weather has been beautifully hot for months and is now back to usual September weather of 27/28 degrees. The locals were happy for some rain, but not so holidaymakers! Glad you loved the place despite being unlucky weatherwise - you are right, the location and the views are beautiful and the owner is very helpful. Thank you for your review. We are sorry you did not feel private. When the second house was built around 10 years ago, we went there and thoroughly checked from every angle to ensure the first house remained totally private. From the garden, the pool and everywhere one could not see anyone at your property, due to the hills, trees and hedging etc. It is a shame alot of strimming was taking place in the area when you were there - whilst it is important that land is kept clean to protect against fire, if you had spoken with the owner one of the times he came to visit with fresh produce from his allotment, he would have spoken to the landowner concerned. I think you were very unlucky since you will see from the other reviews, that the total tranquility and peace of the place is a comment made by most guests. I do wish you had mentioned to the owner when he visited or to us by phone , (we are all available 24 hours a day) that the wood had run out, more would have been provided for you immediately. Apologies from the owner that he didn't notice the wood was finished. We hope you enjoyed your stay just the same. Lorraine at tuscan-retreats

Hi Ingen I am sorry you didn't enjoy this wonderful place. The temperature is definitely cooler high up in the mountains which is one of the reasons the house is so popular, as it is 5 degrees cooler for sleeping but high enough up to get lots of sunshine during the day. We are sorry also that the internet was not working. We understand that there was a problem which you reported to the owner and that is was a broken modem which was then resolved by an engineer shortly into your holiday.
