“I booked my reservation through Expedia. And I chose book now, pay at property. The day of my check in the hotel tried to run my card information without my knowledge and consent. I made 3 reservations for myself and other in my party, and they tried to run my card for all 3 before we had even checked in. And because the payment would not go through they cancelled the reservation. When I got to the hotel, the staff member said it was their policy to run a card to see if payment would go process....

“For the cost the room was very run down! The bed was uncomfortable and it felt dirty. I was very disappointed!”

“The hotel is in a bad part of town. Although the room appeared clean, the decor and feel of the room was straight out of the early eighties. The walls are paper thin. We experienced multiple rooms with fighting tenants and some with "loving" tenants. My son and I were immediately approached by someone, whom appeared to be on drugs, asking for a cigarette, and were asked for money the next morning. “The hotel is in a really good location (sheetz next door, walmart 5 mins away, etc.) It is quiet and has a lovely lobby and atrium area. The breakfast is fresh, delicious and has good options. The bathroom was a bit small/tight. The staff was very friendly and professional. Everyone was super nice. The pool was nice and humid. Very pretty with all the plants. Parking was safe. There is a $10 daily parking fee. The toiletries were good. My children had a great time. ”

Despite us having already paid for the room, they told our guest he needed to leave. As a result, both my husband and our guest were removed from the property. “Easily one of the most genuinely charming and historic hotels that I have stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot. The rooms were huge, the ceilings high, and the mattresses newly replaced (the old ones were behind the building in an alley, waiting to be disposed). They were so comfortable we actually stripped the bed in our room to find out the make. Also, the people at the desk were very friendly and seemed to take a lot of pride in their property. ”
