“We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It’s a great location in Eastbourne. The bed was clean and fresh and the breakfast very tasty. However, it is very tired. Our room was very disappointing- damp on the ceiling, one light fitting in the en-suite was hanging out of the ceiling and 2 other down lighting bulbs did not work. There was no heating in the room and it was needed. Also, there was no BBC on the very small and inefficient TV.”

“I don’t recommend this hotel. Its only positive qualitiy is location. The first room we were given (3rd floor, lift out of order) smelt of stale tobacco smoke (despite 'no smoking' signs). We asked to change. The next room had an unwashed bathroom floor. The 3rd was small but we took it because it was cleaner and had a better view. When I noticed there was only one bath towel, I went down to speak to the male receptionist. I collected the extra towel from his office but the teabags he agreed to...

“This was an ok place to stay. No one was at reception when we arrived, so we were locked out. And we had a couple of other negative experiences with the staff. The room and breakfast were decent and it’s a nice location.”

“The hotel looks nice as you enter, and location is beautiful with a sea front view, but overall, not well kept. Door latches and toilet holders falling off, stains on the walls, dirty carpeting. King size bed was comfortable, but the room was drabby and unpleasant. I wouldn't stay here, again.”
