“I was on Expedia making a last minute reservation the evening of check-in. I accidentally selected this property instead of another I wanted. I immediately called Expedia to explain my error. Expedia called Hampton Inn to explain the situation and request a waiver of their non-refundable rule. Hampton Inn bluntly refused, knowing full well that there would be no one checking-in for that room. It was a classic case of “we’ve got your money now and it sucks to be you.” We never got a refund. “No bar inside…. What a pity”

“Great location on the main street of Merrickville and close to restaurants and the Rideau. Quiet in spite of the location and enjoyed the coffee maker each morning. Also appreciated that there was sparkling water and coffee cream in the fridge and the cooking facilities were well organized and equipped.”
