“Such a unique place to stay. Loved the vibe, loved the room. Decor is very cool and lots of thoughtful touches to make you feel welcome. Midtown is up and coming and it can be loud at night with the cruising and loud stereos but we were so relaxed in our room it didn’t bother us at all. We weren’t aware of the sauna until check out but the front office staff were kind enough to give us the code so we could check it out before we left. The sauna is an absolute vibe. “Room was very nice and spacious, pretty decor and comfortable beds. Two warnings- there is no elevator, and some rooms are on the third floor and the rooms in the front of the building get a lot of street noise (because it’s Reno) and you’re not too far off the street. Overall, though, a great place to stay if you’re looking for non- casino accommodations that are still in the heart of downtown Reno.”

“This was the perfect hotel. The only thing is that the front desk controlled the air but you could call and ask them to turn it down and they did. Love this hotel I will be back”

“I called the front desk to ask for shower chair for my mom, she’s handicapped, they gave me a shower table for baby, it’s way too big in the tub, I called again, but the girl who’s very rude. I do not want to go back this hotel again, do not recommend it”

“Been staying at the Whitney Peak Hotel for more than twenty years. It has gone downhill recently - probably related to the Hilton purchase. Some of the staff seem to be out-to-lunch. Asked for a restaurant recommendation and was directed to Denny's. Not OK. The Whitney Peak is still the only hotel in Reno I am aware of that does not have a casino and does not allow smoking. Still important to me. Room was clean. Bedframes appear to have been replaced with cheap junk. Headboards too. Very hard to...

“Rooms and the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke though rooms we booked were non-smoking. Both rooms had poor lighting and one room had only one bath towel for 4 guests. We had to go to front desk and ask for 3 more bath towels. We did not feel safe in the hotel as soon as we walked in there is a security guard sitting at the front entrance. The rooms had dirty carpeting and the one floor’s main hallway carpets had floor fans running as the carpet was wet. Overall we don’t recommend staying...

“We tried to check in and couldn't get into the room. The code we were given got us into the building. But the code to get into our room wouldn't open the door. After trying multiple times without success, we tried contacting Hotels.com to get advice. We were unable to reach a real person for help. Since we needed to have a room for the night, we got a room at Comfort Suites instead. We're extremely frustrated and will be seeking a refund for this room we were unable to use.”
