“Clean”

“Clean, comfortable and central motel. We were attending a Wedding close by and needed a place to stay for 1 night. It was clean, the bathroom was spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. A added bonus was it was quiet and close by to the main strip of shops.”

“The room and facilities were good though the bathroom has a window grill open to outside so was freezing cold at night, to cold to stay in for a shower etc. We ate at the restaurant, the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked but and they didn't deliver to the table any of the sides we had ordered so we had steaks, no potatos, no veggies, and some how we were charged $29 for what we are pretty sure was a $17 glass of wine. “Property was amazing and the room was great, nice change from the city and a really relaxing stay. Only minor downside was how hard the mattress was in the bedroom. Aside from that would definitely come back again hopefully for a bit longer.”

“Historic hotel is well located between Katoomba and Blackheath so very easy drive to many sites. Due to age of hotel rooms a little small but functional, the decor even older was well maintained and cosy. Only cons room had to be cleaned again before we accepted it, however the management reacted well and solved the problem. Staff friendly however suggest a bit of training in customer service will work to help make this hotel even better. Overall would recommend this hotel.”

“Beautiful historic old fashioned Australian Hotel, very reasonable and ideal room with en-suite for sharing with my son for a hiking trip to the Blue Mountains. Great wholesome food in the restaurant and plenty of options nearby for food.”

“Good value for money. Whilst close to the Great Western Highway and train line didn’t really notice it. Walkable distance into Blackheath shops. Very comfortable bed. You won’t speak to any staff at all, self service and checkout through lock box.There is some basic self service breakfast if you want to eat in with cereal, juice and bread. “Great service and food”

“Convenient location but hotel is very old. And my family all experienced itchy skin after sleeping on the bed. Maybe cleanliness could be improved”

“Our stay was very nice. The cottage is cosy and homy. But the temperature in the bathroom was really cold. The diversity of the birds in the garden was incredible. Its a nice place for hiking in the blue mountains ”
