“Asked for early check in with them which was accepted by them . Got there only to be told couldn’t have room till 2 which made us late for wedding . Towel rail was full on which made room unbearably hot went to reception asking them to turn it off which they never did no sleep as room was sweltering.”

“Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. ”

“Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend ”

“The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! “The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. ”

“No signs for the exit in the ladies pool changing room, and nowhere to leave your room key, which activates your locker, if you can work out how to do it. Nice pool and jacuzzi though, rooms could do with a deep clean, but daily basics are done and it's comfortable. Staff are very helpful and happy to help with queries, rooms spacious and mine had a lovely view, plenty of (free) parking.”
