Hotel a Wye

“Old hotel in need of upgrades. Front outdoor awning in falling. Check in staff very nice. Coffee bar looked OK but we didn’t use it. Our room was noisy. Noise from adjoining room. A/C and heating system VERY noisy. Bedding sheets did not appear to changed from prior guests. Toilet seat damaged. Bath tub stained/dirty. Toilet seat paint chipped. It’s past time for a remodel.”

“The "semi handicapped" accessible bathroom was horrible. Way small! Very unsafe, small bathtub, extremely slippery tub, my husband slipped and fell numerous times. He's 6'2" and I'm 5'3", I had to fully lift him to help him out of the shower. Very poorly designed. I've never seen such a setup. I could clearly hear everything said in the next room along with the family with kids above our room. I don't mind kids/families at all but to hear every step, conversation was again poorly designed”

“The first room we checked into had a putrid smell like dirty socks and something else unidentifiable. The cleaning staff had to have known as the window was wide open and fan blowing. The second room we were put in had hairballs in the shower and under the sink area like it hadnt been vacuumed.”

“This was a shockingly bad experience. The door to the room was totally broken, and the desk staff totally knew and didn't care. The handle literally came off in my hand. The door frame was also rickety and we had to push a chair up against the door when we went to bed. Neiter of us slept well, unsure of our safety. Zero stars. I'd like a total refund.”

“Not impressed. Noisy despite asking to be in a quiet — noise was above and around me. Very curious how there was noise above me as I was supposedly on the top floor. But it happened. Fungus gnats all around my bed area - at least 10. Many hairs in bathroom and drawers and dirty microwave. What appeared to be a small streak of blood on bathroom wall. Carpets didn’t appear to be cleaned either. I showed up to breakfast over a half hour before it was closed down and there were no eggs or sausage...

“The refrigerator was very loud! Be prepared to bring/buy evertyneeded for food preparation: utensils, knives, cups, plates, pots and pans.”

“I gave a fifty dollar cash pet deposit at check in but at checkout I was told they couldn’t return it because no one but the manager had a key to the till. Was supposed to be put on my card but hasn’t been. Also, staff knocked on the door at seven A.M. to see if we’d left yet. There are way better options in the area. Avoid this Motel 6.”

“The hotel is an older hotel, with a few stains on the carpets but furnishings are in good shape. The room was clean with adequate bathroom, coffee and tea supplies. Staff was friendly and helpful. One night had an issue with loud arguing people close by. Continental breakfast was adequate. Would stay there again. ”

“Excellent stay aside from the waitress who grabbed my arm out of frustration! I couldn’t believe it! I was like excuse you can’t grab me like that!”

“Only negative issue was that they no longer serve breakfast.”

“We loved staying at this quaint little motel. It was perfect! We were able to walk to the Wilma for our show. I would stay here 100 more times.”
