“Management at breakfast left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, no one was there to greet us. The only staff member was engaged in a heated conversation with another guest. There was no milk for the cereal. No spoons either! Coffee pot had run out. Family sized kettle was supplying a dining room of about 20 people. Bread was in short supply. Basically under staffed. One staff member taking orders, serving food and clearing tables.”

“We liked this place, a busy, friendly customer focused venue. A bright and cheerful welcome, professional but amicable approach from all staff. An old building but maintained well and homely. The staff were great especially the blonde haired lady, who was originally from Wales. The owners need to hang on to her as she is a great asset. Rooms are good, beds comfortable, food tasty and plentiful, both evening and breakfast. They even found me some marmite. Well done The Station”

“We spotted the village from the road above, fishing village down a steep road, cobblestones and cottages. Gorgeous 300 year old pub on the harbour, great atmosphere, comfy bed and room, breakfast the next day was fresh and plentiful and offered with love and care. Really enjoyed it, 20 steos from the harbour so pretty to walk around.”

Nice bar where you can order your excellent home cooked evening meal. We recommend the steak pie. “Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+”

“Lovely little property in the heart of rural Scotland: however, the property hadn't been cleaned or the beds changed prior to our arrival! We contacted the owner who informed us a cleaner would be with us by 10am the following day.
