Climb, climb, climb to a fantastic view:)
The views were fantastic! This apartment had so many beautiful and comfortable areas- living room, kitchen, rooftop patio etc. and there was ice already waiting for us in the freezer, and cold water in the refrigerator. Not having been in Amalfi before, we were unprepared for the climb involved. It was our daily workout! But you have to climb to get the views. As we four are in our 60's and 70's, we did less in town to avoid multiple trips. I would not have traded the view for easier access, however. Great spot to relax!

Pleasant stay
Despite the steps with luggage, Francesca’s home was a lovely stay. Great views of the Amalfi port, lots of windows, beautiful & spacious private terrace, good shower water pressure, and comfortable beds. Would recommend staying here if you’re okay with the climb!

Perfect location
The apartment is perfectly located in Amalfi, far from the crowds but just a few minutes walk to the town center! There’s beautiful views from every windows and the roof top terrace was our favorite spot to relax after a long day. The apartment is clean and well equipped. Francesca and Amedeo were easy to communicate with and made the checking in trouble-free. We highly recommend!

Amazing Amalfi!
Spectacular views and apartment. The beds were comfortable which is important with all the walking you do as you visit the town of Amalfi and the rest of the coast. The apartment was well appointed. The steps are real. At least100 to get to the apartment but worth every step. Francesca and Amadeo couldn’t have been more helpful. She had fantastic recommendations ranging from restaurants to car services. Don’t waste your time driving, you won’t want to miss the views and you can walk or take a bus or ferry everywhere. Very convenient to get to transportation from the apartment. I can’t wait to go back and I would definitely rent this apartment again!

Amalfi, bel appartement avec superbe vue sur la mer.
Bel appartement, propre, bien décoré avec toutes les commodités. Vue superbe sur la mer. Très bon accueil de la part d’Amadeo qui nous a bien aidé pour nos valises, car il y a 185 marches à monter pour se rendre à l’appartement ( service de porteurs, moyennant 15 euros par valise) . Bonne communication avec Francesca et Amadeo. Bien situé dans Amalfi, billetterie et transport en bus et /ou ferry sur la place juste en bas des marches.

Location was great however there were 150 steps to get to the piazza. You will need to plan your day
The property was clean and provided all that we needed for our time in Amalfi. There was a nice rooftop patio that we enjoyed thoroughly for a relaxing morning or evening after a full day of events. The property manager was very accessible and attentive. The apt had a nice large shower which is rare in Italy. The views every morning from our bedroom window and the patio were amazing. I do recommend the porter service for getting your bags to and from the apt. There is a washer which allowed us to pack light. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Amazing Property
Our experience could not have been better! Don't hesitate to rent this property. The check-in was easy, and the host communicated everything we needed flawlessly. She helped us secure a car service to/from the airport and it was below market rates. The property was clean, and the pictures represented the property well. We enjoyed our evenings on the balcony overlooking the water and sipping wine. The bedrooms were comfortable and private. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The property is only a very short walk to the center square. The host even helped us with our lost baggage by arranging for a drop off while we were enjoying a day trip. Delta lost our luggage for five days and did not seem to care a bit. Francesca came to our rescue! We visited all the main spots on the Amalfi coast and it is very easy to take ferries to all the spots. The ferry terminal is only a few minutes from the property.

Bird's eye view of Amalfi!
We have just spent a wonderful couple of weeks at this amazing house with views to die for. The house was perfect for our family of four with its two double bedrooms and comfy beds. The rainfall shower was fabulous after a day on the beach and we loved the Moroccan theme of decor throughout. The true highlight of this house are the views from every window over the port and along the Amalfi coast. We loved to spend early evening with an aperitif admiring the view from the roof terrace, before wandering into the town for dinner. Our daughters loved sunbathing on the terrace too. Our host Francesca was lovely and always on hand to answer questions - we felt very well looked after. Thanks for a lovely holiday. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful apartment with amazing sea views
Absolutely loved staying in Amalfi, absolutely beautiful! So happy with the apartment, very quirky inside, with different floors! Has everything you could ever need, I managed to come home with a suitcase of clean clothes! There’s a brilliant balcony which we enjoyed sitting out in, with amazing views of the sea, cliffs and all the boats. There are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment, which to us was fine but maybe people with poorer mobility would suffer. But that’s how you get the fantastic views! Never actually met Francesca but messaged back and forth and she always reply’s quickly and seems really lovely and always helpful. We were met from our taxi by Paula who walked us to our apartments, she was very helpful and nice. She met us at a side where there are less steps but there is an option to pay for a luggage delivery service. Overall I’d definitely come back to Amalfi, the best town on the Amalfi coast and I’d definitely return to this quirky beautiful Italian apartment

Romantic week in Amalfi
You can not beat the views from this apartment!!! We spent evenings on the terrace, watching the Marina traffic, and the beautiful views of the coastline. The kitchen is well enough equipped, we cooked several meals in and had espresso each morning before venturing out. The bathroom is nice, and I believe two couples or a family of four could easily enjoy the space. It was a great location to the center of town. Even though it is a lot of steps (176) there are steps everywhere and many of the other listings mention many steps. Great experience I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic View
We certainly enjoyed the unobstructed view from all our windows, and the rooftop balcony. The shower was very nice and roomy with good water pressure. The bed was comfy and so was the couch in the living room! We really appreciated the use of the washing machine as we had been on the road awhile. We spent some evenings enjoying the sky and listening to the city sounds. Watching rush hour from above was very entertaining, and we observed the ferries come and go. Do be aware there are 223 stairs to climb to the front door from the lower street. You get used to it. It is just the way of life on the Amalfi coast. The keys to unlock the two entry gates are troublesome. Wish that could be remedied. Our host Nicola was very friendly and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

A magical location with spectacular views!
I recently stayed at this property with my fiancé and friends and we absolutely LOVED our time there! Opening up our windows every day to such an amazing view brought the biggest smiles to our faces - not to mention the amazing terrasse where we enjoyed prosecco moments throughout our stay! There are some steps to have to tackle on the daily, but that’s true everywhere on the Amalfi Coast - and the owners/managers provided great options for extra services like choosing to have help with our baggage upon arrival and departure (which we opted into for an extra cost and was extra tip money well spent!) In short, we had only great moments during our stay in this property and look forward to coming back for another visit in the coming years. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend equally magical moments while on the Amalfi Coast!

Great week in Amalfi
My husband and I spent a week at Riad Amalfitano and we had a great time. The stairs + August humidity was a lot, but we were warned from other reviewers and made sure to always have water with us before going up (highly recommend getting a porter to bring your bags up when you arrive - so worth the €10 per bag)! The home was plenty spacious and well-equipped for cooking. It also had great AC and a washing machine - both of which were important to us. We spent almost every night playing cards on the roof terrace during our wine/apertivo hour before going to dinner. The harbor views from up there are incredible! The only minor setback is that the property next door is currently under construction and there’s a security gate to get past in order to get to your front door, and the gate's lock is pretty difficult to open... sometimes takes a couple minutes but you eventually get the hang of it. The town of Amalfi is cute with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, gelaterias/frozen lemon sorbets (a must!), sights to see, beaches, etc. and it was easy enough to get to the other towns by ferry. Francesca was great at communicating and answering my questions ahead of our stay. Thank you for the hospitality!

Siamo state in questo appartamento per una settimana intera e la nostra vacanza e' stata meravigliosa. Francesca e Nicola sono sempre stati prontissimi a darci informazioni, suggerimenti e a rispondere alle nostre domande. Le foto rispecchiano perfettamente l'appartamento che ha tutto e più del necessario. Le stanze sono spaziose, i letti comodissimi, la doccia del bagno grande fantastica ed il terrazzo semplicemente un sogno. Le scale sono state la nostra palestra e la cosa ci ha fatto solo bene! Consiglio vivamente questo appartamento per una vacanza memorabile. Ci torneremo!

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit Superaussichten. Guter Kontakt mit Vermieter. Problem - keine direkten Zufahrt mit dem Auto, alles muss ca. 350 Meter Treppen hoch- runter geschleppt werden. Aber Sport hält munter!!! Parken ist ein Problem im Amalfi - keine kostenloser Parkplätze. Parken ist teuer!!!! Leider die Nachbarn von neben an, die nicht!!! direkt in dem Haus wohnen, sind nicht wirklich freundlich. Sonst - immer wieder. Danke an Francesca und Nikola.

Vacation workout with perks
Lovely apartment with great views from a wonderful terrace overlooking the Amalfi harbor. Convenient location although, you will get exercise as it s well over 100 steps from the plaza to the apartment. There is no parking at or near the apartment but they arranged parking offsite with someone to bring the car to us when we needed it.

Amalfi experience
We stayed 2 weeks at Amalfi in Riad Amalfitano in mid August and it was great! Perfect location, excelent view, enough space and appliances in the apartment and amazing opportunity to overlook the marina and the sea from the terrace which is a very useful compliment to the apatrment itself! Powerful airconditioning. Yes, stairs... we counted 183 to our door - good that they are between houses in a shadow. Thanks to Francesca and Nicola who organize arrival, departure and car parking without any problems and delays. Highly recomended to those who look for discovering Amalfitano coast and like to have a nice private space to relax and enjoy the view. PS If you swim, Amalfi beach gives you the chance to practice: 280 meters from the pier to the rocks along the red barrier and while doing your distances you admire plenty of fish. More than I ever saw anywhere in the Mediterranean sea.

Wonderful views from the patio
Clean, well maintained property. Outdoor patio was large and had memorable views of the harbor. We cooked several dinners in the up-to-date kitchen. Large living room. Bedrooms were fine. Air-conditioning worked well. Main bathroom was large and modern. Second bathroom was smaller, especially the second shower, but was still good. The steps to the apartment are a bit daunting. Accept the offer of having your full size bags carried up to the apartment. Owners gave excellent referral for hired sightseeing car. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Great Stay in Amalfi
We stayed in Riad Amalfitano for a week in the middle of May. We had a great time. The flat is well located and has a wonderful view from every room, and the rooftop terrace. The view is what makes this a great flat. Francesca and Nicola were responsive to our needs and Nicola made some great restaurant recommendations. The flat could have had more accouterments and a little more comfortable furniture.. The steps to and from town are difficult (124 of them) but after a few days you get used to them (sort of). There are a few neat out of the way restaurants in Amalfi but you have to get off the main street. We took advantage of the busses and ferries: a great way to go from town to town and see the entire Amalfi Coast. Francesca pout us on to Marco Copploa for airport transfers and tours - a great recmommendation.. All in all a great week..

Gorgeous View
We had a wonderful time - the weather was great, the view amazing -192 stair steps down to the market and 192 stair steps back up again! Inside the apartment itself there were stairs from the bedroom to the living area & bath and then another set up to the kitchen and another few steps to the terrace/patio area. If you are not in shape when you arrive, you will be by the time you leave. :) The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, but not as well stocked with basics as others we have stayed (toilet paper, soap, pepper, coffee, storage wrap or bags, etc. - we had to buy it all) and we washed the towels before using them as they had a very musty smell, even tho they had been freshly washed (probably just not dried fully before folded). Alberto who checked us in and checked us out was very nice!

Lovely apartment with fantastic terrace view
Had a fabulous stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped with all amenities. The terrace is superb and we enjoyed the views across to the harbour and sea every day of our week long stay. Yes there are many steps up to the apartment do not for the faint hearted in the summer heat but totally worth it for the views. There is a porter service for a charge to take suitcases up to the property which we were happy to take advantage of. Nicola was there to greet us and ensured a smooth check in and was easy to contact if needed. The apartment is situated close to the pier and main bus stop so very handy to visit beaches and other towns, we particularly enjoyed a trip to Ravello and La Tonnarella restaurant during our visit. Francesca was easy to contact once we booked and made some helpful restaurant suggestions as we celebrated our silver wedding anniversary whilst in Amalfi. She had also provided a bottle of prosecco for us which was a lovely touch. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Charming place with amazing view
The apartment is nicely done. It was spacious for our family. Our favourite part of it was the big terrace on the top of the building. It has an amazing view to the sea and the coast. We had nice and relaxing breakfasts there, before we started our days. The apartment is located at a beautiful place, on a narrow pedestrian street, on the cliffs of Amalfi. The steps from the town centre were easily manageable with our 3 kids (One is 1.5 year old. For him, we used baby carrier backpack, as buggy is not really an option on the steps). There are several good restaurants just around the bottom of the steps. The beach is not too far from there either. Amalfi is a good spot to reach many places around, even without the need of a car. We used mostly ferries to everywhere, like Salerno, Positano, Capri, but using bus services is a good option too. Francesca and Nicola were really helpful and prompt in responding to our requests. If you want to spend stay at a charming place with stunning views I couldn’t recommend this place more.

This is a beautiful place to stay in Amalfi.
This spot was centrally located to lots of things to see and do. Catching the ferry to other towns was fun and easy. Francesca and Nikola were readily available. The use of Marco's driving services were stupendous! All in all, this is a beautiful spot and the home was very clean and well supplied. There are lots of stairs, but each step is worth the fantastic views.

The stairs seem a lot only the first time up. After that I got used to them and it was actually a very pleasant walk up :) Nicola was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this property.

A little bit tired
We were a little disappointed. It is a bit of a 'rabbit warren' with stairs up and down to each room. No toaster, no pegs, no laundry liquid, no soap. Lots of instructions. Thin old grey towels provided for our stay. Positives is the nice, hot shower and the deck with lovely views. Negatives. The umbrella was taped with masking tape and broken at the top, so could only put it up partially else it would fall over, also disappointed about paying a large cleaning charge which was exorbitant... have never had to pay for cleaning when we had to take away all our rubbish anyway. Think I should move to Amalfi and get a cleaning job....ha ha....but I would suspect that the poor cleaning lady wouldn't get anywhere near that much of the charge

A fantastic place to stay on the Amalfi coast
This apartment has an amazing view of Amalfi and you get used to the many steps to get to it - it is worth it. It is handy to the buses and the ferries so getting to all the other towns on the coast is easy to achieve. Francesca is very helpful with local knowledge and arranging things to get fixed quickly when needed in the apartment. The supermarkets and fruit and vegetable shops are also nearby at the bottom of the stairs. I stayed for nearly 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tremendously charming location with fantastic views.
From the moment of arrival we felt at home in Amalfi. Nichola was very helpful and the accommodations were superb . Air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable. The apartment was very well supplied. It's true there are many steps to get to the apartment but it is well worth the trip. The terrace views are amazing. The town is beautiful. There are many superb restaurants to choose from very close by . We were made to feel at home in Amalfi. Transportation to many close by locations is extremely easy. From Amalfi we went to Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Pompeii, Ravello and Salerno. The bus and ferry service runs quite often. The local ticket agency is also very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be back in the future. Francesca was also was very prompt in answering questions and emails .

Spacious, convenient & Breathtaking Views
My wife & I had our honeymoon and small wedding in Amalfi this last December, and Riad Amalfitano suited our needs perfectly. The apartment is very walkable to the shops and restaurants in Amalfi center, and to the waterfront. Its situated on a walking path, not car accessible, near the Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi (Cappuccini). We loved the apartment's decor, spacious bathroom and shower, kitchen, 2nd full bathroom, washer/dryer, two bedrooms, and most of all the rooftop terrace overlooking the coastline. Be ready to walk up many steps to get here, all part of the Amalfi experience! Communication with the owner, Francesca, and Carolina, our contact, was stellar too. We would stay at this place again on our next trip here.

Riad Amalfitano /Aphrodite
My husband and i stayed 12 nights.This rental is also known as Aphrodite on other sites.It is a lovely holiday rental with great potential if the owner paid more attention to detail and addressed some maintenance issues. Although listed, there was no kettle or coffee maker.When we asked, we were told to boil water in saucepan on hob rather than provided with a kettle etc.There are quite a few things not working and missing/broken.The mattress would benefit from being replaced as very stained/marked.The balcony is a highlight although it required a good tidy/clean and cushions dry cleaned as very dirty.Beautiful view and you can hear the waves although spoiled by busy road beneath and 24 hr bus station/stop and bin men early every morning though this was not an issue as we often visit/stay in Nice old town South France which is very similar.Overall i would recommend but not if you have small children or are elderly..... ideally situated for views ,lovely shower,washing machine/dryer is a great addition ...would benefit from TV in living room preferably rather than kitchen and a kettle/coffee maker would be nice.It does state on letting "no mandatory fees" but we were asked for a large cleaning fee and city tax on arrival in cash and not given a receipt even though we requested one.....but all in all i would recommend.

Wonderful location but beware of all those steps!! The view and apartment were great. Close to everything in the town and we had plenty of room for the 4 of us.

We recently returned from our 4 night stay in Amalfi. My husband and 16 year old daughter enjoyed our stay at Francescas apartment very much. It is a nicely renovated cozy place with a fantastic terrace overlooking the sea. It is as it appears in the pictures. There are 2 bedrooms both of equal size with closets and ample space for storage. The beds are very comfortable as are the linens. There is a small sitting room and a large bathroom on the main floor. There is also a very cute kitchen and smaller bathroom with wash machine on the top floor with access to the terrace, which i think is the highlight of the place and my favorite feature. It was so nice to sit there in the evenings to have a drink and watch the sunset the boats and people come and go. The overall apartment is nice and clean and well maintained. Each room has a/c and heat. Water pressure in shower is very good. The water gets super hot so be careful especially with little ones. We didn't notice until the 2nd night that there is no TV in the sitting room, however there is one upstairs in the kitchen. We did not cook but did note that the kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal. everything looked to be in good order and the space is really nice and bright. In the main bathroom i would suggest a small waste receptacle, also there is a soap dispenser but no soap inside. That would have been nice. There are plenty of towels but i think some are in need of replacement as they have gotten rough over time. The location of the apartment is great. We picked Amalfi as our base for our coast visit. Yes you have to walk some steps to get into town , I believe around 150 but it only takes 5 mins and you are there. You absolutely cannot beat how easy it is to get around. The ferry boats run excursions or take them to one of the other coastal towns even to Capri. Or take the bus all withing a few steps from the apartment. We had an e-mail within days of our arrival from Francesca with information about the the apartment as well as a contact person once we arrived. Carolina contacted us right away as well and helped us arrange transport from Salerno to Amalfi. Our driver was waiting as we got off the train and Carolina met us and walked us to the apartment. Everything worked very well and the communication was excellent. Carolina recommended some great restaurants to try and advice on getting around. We absolutely loved our stay in Amalfi.Thank you C. & F

Experience Amalfi like a local
My wife and I stayed at Riad Amalfitano Sul Mare Sept 23rd - 27th 2016. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. After researching many hotel options and other rental properties, we decided on Riad Amalfitano - and it was perfect for us! We loved having an apartment rather than a hotel. We were so close to everything but we also loved the privacy of this apartment. We were greeted by Carolina who arranged parking for our car and also arranged to have our luggage ported upto the apartment for us. Carolina was great to tell us everything we needed to know about the apartment and the area. This apartment is at the top of a 3 story complex so climbing stairs are required - but we loved it! The 2 bedroom apartment is very well kept and very clean. You can tell that the owner Francesca takes very good care of this apartment. The upstairs patio overlooks the marina and the views are amazing from here. The location of apartment was perfect for walking into the center of Amalfi - literally a 5 minute walk down several steps puts you right into the main square of Amalfi. It was so fun to walk from our apartment into town for dinner or shopping. We enjoyed walking to the little market to buy some groceries to enjoy at the apartment as we relaxed on the sun deck. We drove a car from Naples to Amalfi but we did not need the car at all once we arrived in this great location. You can take a ferry or bus to anything you want to see. If you are wanting to experience Amalfi like you are a local, this apartment is perfect. I highly recommend it!

Superbe vue et bon emplacement
L'appartement est très agréable et très bien situé : qques mètres du centre, de la plage et des commerces. La terrasse et la vue sont superbes. Il faut grimper beaucoup de marches pour y accéder mais ça vaut le coup. L'appartement est propre et bien aménagé. Seul point négatif : le lave-vaisselle ne lavait pas et les oreillers sentaient (très) mauvais. À part ça nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour !
