Al nostro arrivo abbiamo constatato che la camera era molto fredda con il calorifero spento. Dopo esserci recati due volte alla reception siamo stati forniti di una stufetta elettrica. La camera era inotre buia poichè situata al di sotto del livello stradale.

l'hotel è confortevole ed è posizionato perfettamente,infatti a poca distanza vi sono i mezzi pubblici e i maggiori musei della città.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per sole due notti e siamo stati veramente bene! E' un albergo elegante e molto tranquillo in una bella zona della città, a 10 minuti a piedi dai principali musei, da ristoranti e caffè. La camera e il bagno non sono proprio ENORMI, ma comunque più che vivibili e soprattutto puliti e silenziosi. Il personale della reception è disponibile ad informazioni (uno di loro parla italiano!!) e consigli. L'unica nota non proprio positiva è che l'albergo non ha un parcheggio privato e la macchina deve essere lasciata sulla strada di fronte con un costo giornaliero non indifferente. Se avremo occasione di tornare, sicuramente sarà di nuovo il nostro punto di riferimento.

Piet Hein in the museum quarter of amsterdam - easy access (3 blocks) to the tram - low price/24 hours travel within amsterdam. Hotel staff courteous, helpful and knowledgeable to finding sights of amsterdam. Breakfast is paid separately, quite expensive. but worth it to start your day with all the conveniences of a warm meal. I stayed on my own in a single room - small and cozy - but complete with what one needs. The free online internet is a plus. location of the hotel is away from much of the hustle and bustle of amsterdam. so, when you have had a full day of touring, it is a nice quiet location to get back to. there are many beautiful shops in the area to stroll and window shop if you are not in the direct area when they are open I would say that this is a solid 3 - there are no 'extras' - but you have what you need for your stay. I would go back again and i recommend it to those who will be out most of the day. I do not think it is convenient for those with small children. Wonderful 2 night stay, touring museums of amsterdam.

“Great base to see Amsterdam”

Stayed nine nights at this hotel right next to the Vondel Park near the museum district. Trams are easily accessed and one can pretty much walk anywhere in the city from here which I did a lot! I only had a single room and in the old section of the hotel, but it suited me since I don't hang out in my room, I'm out wondering the city. It was sparsely furnished with a desk bed night table and chair, could have used a lounging chair but the room was small. It was quiet and did not get disturbed while sleeping. Plenty of hot water, once I figured out how to control the water. The hotel offered free Internet and was fast enough for what i needed. they had TV with quite a few channels and plenty for English speakers, though I barely watched any TV at all. The staff was exceptional, and were great people willing to help you out. they assisted me in arranging several tours of the Netherlands and Belgium. I enjoyed the gals running the kitchen for breakfast! very friendly and would go out of their way to serve breakfast. THis is an excellent moderately priced Hotel located in a nice part of town with easy access to everything I needed. I definitely recommend them!

“Hotel convenient to Vondelpark and Museumplein”

On a quiet side street that borders Vondelpark. Five minutes to van Gogh Museum and trams. Modern hotel. My single room was on the small side but no real complaints. EXCELLENT wireless.

It seemed to me that some of the staff appeared to be arrogant and pompous. The night porters were excellent and helpful, and not at all arrogant. Everyone raved about the bartender, Marten, but he was the most pompous of them all.

Hotel Piet Hein is located in the museum district on a quiet street across from a big park. great location! It is a quaint boutique hotel that offers personal service, a great little room and a spectacular lounge/bar with a beautiful garden patio outback. You cant go wrong with this hotel. A great stay for a great price.

“Pleasant and convenient hotel”

Piet Hein is a pleasant and conveniently located hotel - in a quiet road - that offers good value. I would probably be still more enthusiastic if my room hadn't been rather close to the bar, and suffered from noise as a result (but this should affect only a small number of rooms). My single room was clean and reasonably furnished, although on the small side. Breakfast is good, if a bit over-priced. The staff were professional and helpful. The TV has the core BBC channels and ther's also free internet access. The hotel is ideal for the museum district, the Concertgebouw and upmarket shopping. Although further from the historic centre, it is quite walkable, and anyway there is a frequent nearby tram service. I would certainly stay there again, although I would be keen to avoid a room too close to the bar.
