Serendipity: Modern Mountain Design nel bellissimo villaggio del Cheshire

La definizione di Serendipity è il verificarsi e lo sviluppo di eventi per caso in modo felice. I proprietari di abitazione ritengono che sia stata molto serena trovando questa bella casa! Vorrebbero condividere il loro posto speciale con te. È una vacanza perfetta per una o due coppie. Entrambe le camere hanno letti king size e bagno privato. Serendipity si trova nell'incantevole e pittoresco villaggio del Cheshire, a solo un miglio dal centro di Black Mountain. Puoi camminare per la strada e cenare presso The Artisan, Sake Sushi o Black Bear Tavern. La straordinaria casa è stata precedentemente selezionata come Casa del mese da Raleigh News and Observer. Questo premio è uno sforzo collaborativo tra il paper e la School of Design della NC State University attraverso la sua iniziativa di progettazione degli ambienti domestici. Mescolandosi dolcemente sulla collina di questa desiderabile comunità del Villaggio del Cheshire, l'architetto Thomas Lawton fece uso di pietre autoctone, scandole di cedro e paesaggio nativo. Sono state create stanze esterne con portici coperti e una terrazza scavata nella collina. All'interno, un interno in stile loft include linee pulite e moderne e molte finestre. Layout della casa: Piano principale: cucina completa con elettrodomestici vichinghi; mezzo bagno; soggiorno aperto con camino a gas e TV (via cavo e Wifi disponibili); tavolo da pranzo che può ospitare 4; ponte con un tavolo e posti a sedere extra. Piano superiore - master loft con letto king size, TV e un lussuoso bagno completo con cabina doccia e vasca da bagno. Camera da letto al piano inferiore con letto king size, TV e bagno completo. Piattaforma di livello principale all'aperto; meraviglioso patio posteriore con camino esterno. I proprietari offrono uno sconto del 10% tutto l'anno ai membri del servizio militare.

Beautiful neighborhood close to everything. Well appointed home! Quiet and comfortable. Would suggest a few blinds on windows in main living area as homes are close together and did not feel comfortable for privacy purposes. No soap for bathing or dishwashing items where available upon arrival. Just went to store to purchase. Shower stopped working in 2nd bathroom but tub was available. Did not call maintenance for this. Had problems getting temperature comfortable due to high tec thermostat. Maintenance did come out to fix thermostat. Overall good stay and would stay again!

Really good experience!
Loved the location and the neighborhood! IMPORTANT: the bedrooms have no doors…none. And please note the items they state because of you are staying longer than a week- you run out of basic things like toilet paper very fast.

Long weekend
My husband, our 2 daughters and I stayed for a long weekend. We loved the look and design of the house. We loved the showers and our 17 yr old loved the soaking tub. The weather was perfect for opening the windows when it got a little warm inside - preferred that over turning on the a/c. The Cheshire Village restaurants are within walking distance. Local grocery store is a very short drive. This is a great location - we hiked at Chimney Rock and went zip lining in Ashville. Both just short drives. We will rent this again if we return to the area!

No Heat
The home had no heat and it was 32 degrees outside. All of the smoke detectors chirped the entire time. It looked as if it had not been clean and the envelope with the tip from previous renters was still on the counter.

Truly a treehouse
Loved the house! Beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean and cozy. Very easy to get to and restaurants within walking distance. Definitely a keeper. Hope to come back God willing.

There was no heat and it got down to 21 degrees. We almost had to leave.
There is now ay a house in the mountains should be rented with no heat. The fireplace was not adequate to heart the whole house. I was unable to even go downstairs. I am very unhappy and should get a partial refund.

Find somewhere else to stay.
The house was not as expected. There were several areas that hadn’t been cleaned such as the range hood which had Wash me written in the dirt from previous renters. Upon arrival the thermostat was set at 55. We turned up the temp. Unpacked and headed out for dinner. When we returned, the thermostat had reverted back to 55. We once again changed the temp and proceeded with our night. Throughout the night it changed and dropped back to 55 making for a very cold night of sleep. Thinking maybe it was a fluke, we set the temp back up so when we returned from our day out the house would be warmed. Sure enough, we we returned it was again frigid. I messaged the rental company. She said someone would be contact us to fix it the next morning. The call never came. We played the game of turning it up and it going back down throughout our stay. We covered up and suffered through the cold nights. No one ever contacted us or checked back in ro make sure we didn’t have any more issues. I also mAde them aware that there were cleaning issues. They advised they would let the cleaning staff know. Be prepared to bundle up if you stay here. Also make sure you don’t mind the neighbors staring at you from the house next door as there aren’t any blinds on the main floor nor blinds on all the windows in the 3rd floor bedroom. The neighbors in the house next door stood in their windows watching us in the living room. This was one room we could try to stay warm since this is where the fireplace was.

perfectly removed
This whole community is a design study.. there are nearby neighbors but situation of the homes and windows have been planned in such a way that you barely notice. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed walking around, being a little outside Asheville, which was super busy due to fall tourism etc. Had a nice drive on the Blue ridge parkway, thing Chimney Rock, and toured the Biltmore estate.
