“First off, the owners and manager are awesome. They are very responsive, and communicate very well. The location was perfect for us, in the middle of Hopkins town. You are able to get the feel for day to day life of the residence. The people were fantastic. The place is nice and quaint, but we loved it. My wife and I both agree, the only thing it was lacking was a couch in the lounge. But honesty, we loved the place and our time in Belize. Nice work!!”

“The property is amazing. Only received low score based on accuracy of listing. My cabin was not one that was pictured, however I did still enjoy the cabin and it was cool and comfortable. The pool was…. Not as clear as the pictures. The food from Jack at the bar was 10/10 phenomenal. I recommend the buffet and full English breakfast. The road coming up the hill is a little rough, but manageable. I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and comfy. Very relaxing.”

“The listing does not show the cabana in question. As we were the only guests at the time, we were given the option of 2 different cabanas neither of which matched the pics in the in listing. The cabana we ended up with had 2 very tiny bedrooms with no place to put our luggage. The washroom needed upgrades as the shower head was hanging on for it's life. The cabana itself smelled extremely musty. The entire property could use repairs and upgrades: toilet seat falling off type of repairs. On the...

“Great location on the beach it’s also quite quiet as the neighboring places buffer most noise from the nearby eateries. We were entertained by local kids stopping by to visit as well as some horses that had wandered off. Enjoyed our time there and will return in the future.”

“We arrived late but Peter was there to meet us. The Iguana Roost was a great little place to stay. We enjoyed searching the property for the more than 40 fruit bearing plants. Thanks for the map! We are from Alaska so the sounds of the environment were very new to us, but waking up at 5am, not because the sun is still up or the sun never comes up, it was home. For those new to driving in San Ignacio, make sure you can use Google maps! There are one to many one-way streets!”

“We went with a group and rented all three cabins on the property. We stayed in cabin 1. The kitchen and living space is in a screened in area. The bedroom/ bathroom is in the area with A/C. That was really nice is one person woke up before the other you had a separate space. The kitchen and living space is all in the a/c in the other two cabins. “Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge...

“This property was just what we were looking for. Although you can’t swim in the river, listening to the birds, kayaking and sitting in the screened in porch to enjoy the river were great for us. We did rent a car for three of our seven days to go hiking in Mayflower Bocawina NP and drove to Placencia one day. The bikes were great to go to Hopkins and we also walked once. “Toll eigerichtete Ferienhütte mit allem drum und dran. Super ruhig mit netten Nachbarn. Man kann eine Tour mit dem hauseigenen Kayak machen oder einfach nur entspannen. Gut eingerichtete Küche und sehr geräumig. Bequeme Betten. Gerne wieder! Allerdings braucht man ein schlaglochfestes Fahrzeug um hinzukommen.”
