Ottimo ostello in posizione strategica
Camera essenziale, ma accogliente. Letti comodi. Ottima la pulizia, anche dei bagni, sempre perfetti. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo in un quartiere in posizione strategica, ben servito dai mezzi pubblici e pieno di locali e negozi carini. Perfetto anche per famiglie con bimbi piccoli come noi.

Good Location, Clean Rooms
The Hostel is located 2 blocks from a metro station and about 6 blocks from a train/metro station, it is not in the center, but it can be easily reached by public transportation in around 15 mins. The building of the hostel is old but well maintained. The rooms aren't big but have the basic things you need, linen and towels are included also a hair dryer. In general terms both the room and the bathrooms (shared) were clean. The staff was ok but not too informative. There is a common area with a Kitchen full equipped and some tables, the bad thing is that this common area is only open from 8 to 22, so if you arrived late at night or want to go out before 8 you will find this area close and won't have access to the refrigerator, but you can save your things there and use the kitchen, also there are free coffee, lemon water, apples and some other basic things as butter, milk, nutella which are really useful for breakfast.

Sembra di stare a casa
Ho provato diversi ostelli in giro per l'Europa e questo devo dire che è stato il migliore. Forse il fatto di essere piccolo ha giocato a suo favore. L'ordine e la pulizia (soprattutto dei bagni) sono stati una piacevole scoperta. La camera piccola ma funzionale. La cucina ben fornita e i luoghi in condivisione ordinati e silenziosi. Ho apprezzato soprattutto il bagno in condivisione sempre pulitissimo e comodo.

The price was way too high for how dirty and old it was. The place was extremely smelly and underconstruction. Our hotel staff gave us a room that was not cleaned and still has previous guest's trash in it

Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer mit Bad auf dem Flur, alles war picobello sauber. Die Küche schien mir gut ausgestattet, man hätte sich selbst verpflegen können. Das habe ich aber nicht in Anspruch genommen. Einzige Kritik: Im Zimmer gab es keine Steckdose in der Nähe des Betts. Trotzdem: empfehlenswert! Und die Lage ist topp, man ist ruckzuck überall im Prenzlauer Berg, ÖPNV-Anbindung auch sehr gut.

A nice budget hostel with friendly helpful staff. Very large kitchen with dining room and shared lounge available downstairs. Lots of shared bathrooms so you can easily use them. Nice city area with lots of pubs and shops, metro just next to it. The only minus is the fact that you can hear everything from the corridor and the adjoining room, the creaking floors. A comfortable bed, when you have earplugs you can sleep.

Für eine Nacht war es völlig ausreichend. Positiv war die Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man sich Kaffee oder Tee machen konnte. Ansonsten wirkte es eher wie eine Studentenunterkunft mit gemeinsamem Bad. Auch das Personal ist eher jung und leicht chaotisch. In der Nähe ist eine tolle Eisdiele und auch ein nettes Café, in dem man frühstücken kann.

Es war großartig mit vier Kindern in zwei Zimmern. Gepflegt, Bäder sauber, man hört die Bahn und Holzböden. Oropax gibt es kostenfrei. Die Tram startet direkt vor dem Haus. Die Küche ist gemütlich. Sehr nette, kompetente Menschen an der Rezeption. an Tolle Gegend. Wir waren alle begeistert von der Unterkunft. Danke

Disappointed
Sorry, this was not at all acceptable. The room was smelly (very unpleasant). It was also hard to sleep due to floors that squeaked no end, sending a ringing noise from anywhere in the building at any given hour. Exhausting! Upsides, Old Town Hostel has nice common areas, if you travel as a group, and is close Kastanienallee (great cafes and the like) and U-Bahnhof Ebersalderstr (tube station). Its location is very good. Still, I have stayed at many small hotels in Berlin, in the same price range I should add, that have been clean and quiet inside. I will not come back to Old Town Hostel.

Nice hostel!! Bathrooms close to rooms which was good. Very close to the train station and only a few stops away from the main square. Staff friendly. Only given one towel for a 4 night stay and room also very hot at night and in the morning (only given one small fan)

Nice and clean no-frills place
Nice place; clean and simple. Location great (if you don't mind the area being over-gentrificated already). Typical hostel: simple no-frills rooms. Wouldn't mind to have something done to the acoustics; maybe some softer materials in the rooms etc.

Making comfort affordable
Affordable, yet very well kept and professional. If you can live with some noise from the street, this place is easily recommendable.

Mysigt område men inte samma sociala känsla som andra hostels som har pub och frukostservering. Det är mer som att bara hyra ett rum var som helst. Hyllorna var lite dammiga när vi kom. Det luktade lite konstigt i rummet. Helt ok sängar! Trevlig personal!
