I stayed multiple times at Hotel Vittoria in the last couple of months. On the plus side, there is the very central and convenient location, the grandeur of the building, the art collection inside it. On the negative side, pretty much everything else. Rooms look, smell and feel sad and worn out and would desperately need a renovation. Most of the equipment is outdated and feels old and unwelcoming (I can't remember when was the last hotel I was given a physical -and heavy- key to my room in a 4**** hotel). The breakfast buffet is nothing above decent; the menu of the cafeteria is limited. The staff are just ok, but some policies are hard to tolerate (you must ask for a fiscal invoice at the time of reservation; despite being an Hotels.com Gold member, at Hotel Vittoria I have once been charged in full at the time of check-in, despite the reservation being, as usual, secured by a valid credit card number).
