The place was clean and with everything we needed for our three nights there. It is also very well located. So nothing negative to say. The owners have also been very kind contacting us to have news from us and advicing us. Moreover we arrived late at night but we could access easily to the place following the steps listed in the booking confirmation email. Everything is well organised.

APPARTAMENTO CENTRALISSIMO E ACCOGLIENTE”
Appena tornati da Budapest dopo un soggiorno nei Katona Apartments pienamente soddisfatti! Appartamento centralissimo, pulito e comodo con tutti i comfort ed accessori, compresa la macchina per il caffè espresso. Bagno abbastanza spazioso con finestra anche se senza bidet, come tutti quelli all'estero del resto. Letti comodi anche se senza lenzuola, ma con comode trapunte. Foto rispondenti al vero. Zona centralissima e ben servita dai mezzi pubblici, supermercato, ristoranti e bar-pasticceria per fare colazione. consigliatissimo per un breve soggiorno anzichè un albergo.

La vacanza perfetta
Abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento per 4 giorni. L'accoglienza calorosa, la disponibilità e la gentilezza, la pulizia, la vicinanza al centro e ai mezzi... avevo controllato le altre recensioni prima di prenotare, ma devo dire che questa volta siamo davvero prossimi all'eccellenza! non abbiamo avuto il minimo problema, lo consiglio davvero a tutti! Excellent check in details on how to access the apartment. The host Janos was also helpful giving me a heads up on the upcoming May 1 holiday when most businesses were closed except for restaurants and cafes. The apartment was missing a hairdryer and he came back the next morning to bring it to me. The apartment building is conveniently situated next to a very high end hotel, public transportation, supermarkets, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, you name it! Now come the bad parts...on my 2nd night there, a group of 4 or 3 people checked in. From 10pm to midnight, there were non stop loud noises coming from that apartment, which happened to be right next to mine. Lots of banging and knocking things around, loud laughing and talking, and smoking! The smoke got into my apartment because I had the window slightly open. Then while I was sleeping, I was awaken up by loud talking right outside my apartment, and smoking smell again. It was 3 something in the middle of the night! They were talking very, very loud. Then they moved back inside their apartment. Did they stop there? No! They started playing drums as if in a band. Very loud and the drums vibrated through the walls. Understandably I didn’t get a good night of sleep. The next morning I informed the host. He let me know that it was a group of young people who stayed only for a night and already left. I would not recommend Katona Apartments if you’re not a late night party person or if you don’t smoke.

交通の便が良く主要観光地がコンパクトにまわれました。 1人で宿泊するがもったいないくらい部屋も十分広かったです。部屋に関してはとてもよかったのですが、 土曜日に宿泊したからでしょうか、同じフロアの宿泊客が夜中3時ごろに大声で話しながら戻ってきたり、インターフォンを鳴らされたのが残念でした。

The apartment was spacious, quiet and had a great view of downtown. It was easy to find and the host was incredibly generous and proactive in helping us settle in. We would definitely stay here again!

I definitely do not recommend this apartment if you have a dust allergy, asthma or if you simply like to stay in a clean and healthy environment. It has been a terrifying experience. I had asthma attacks throughout my stay and the owner refused to refund me, which meant I was unable to change hotel. Last but not least, when I notified him of the condition of the apartment, the owner showed up without notice. He knocked on the door twice and I didn't answer because I was sleeping, so he tried to open the door with his keys. Luckily, I had my keys inserted in the lock and couldn't open it. I don't recommend it at all.

Guest feedback is very important to us as it helps us improve and adapt to our guest's needs.We strive to give great and impressive service to all our guests and I am sorry for what happened during your stay with us. When you whatsapp messaged me and wrote down your concerns, I was nearby so I went to your door and rang your doorbell to solve the issues you mentioned (I couldn't woke you up as you wrote first). I also answered right then on whatsapp because you didn't reply. I messaged you that I was there to give you a hand but I think it was a misunderstanding from your side. I didn't put any keys in the lock and didn't try to open your door.l am sorry to hear that you found these genuine care and actions useless. You only wanted a full refund - even you didn't pay anything at that point. A full refund would not be a solution to your dust allergy and asthma in case you do not let the cleaner in the apartment. As you were not open to any other solutions what we offered except for the full refund, we did a proper cleaning in the time frame that you gave us.We believe we tried our best with you but clearly these were less than your expectations.

This unit served its purpose. It is definitely in need of some updates. The bedding was worn and pillows were terrible. The towels were thin and old. You get what you pay for. It would be N affordable option for a family who wants to prepare some meals. I probably wouldn’t stay here again but I can see it working well for budget conscious travellers. Janos was very pleasant to deal with although check in was a hassle as his machine would not process any of the 3 credit cards we tried. Luckily we had enough cash to cover but it left us short.

Fantastic apartment in a great location close to shops and attractions plus bus stops and a metro station just a few minutes walk. We really enjoyed our 6 night stay. The washing machine was an added convenience and our host Janos even provided a drying rack. The bed was super uncomfortable but for the price and location I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Apartment in a great location in the centre of Budapest. Spacious and comfortable apartment with great air conditioning. The communication from our host, Janos, was excellent and he was on hand at all times to help with any queries. Can't really fault anything and would certainly look to book this apartment again if we return to Budapest.

Informations d'acces a l'appartement transmises aussi précis qu'une horloge par le gérant, communication parfaite. Super propre et je suis super chiante, spacieux lit super confortable. calme. pas dormie depuis plus 24h. en centre ville. lieu securisé. seule bémole, la cafetiere moi parisienne sans café, enfin j'ai pas su utiliser la cafetiere mis a disposition. sinon allez y les yeux fermé. le gérant est vraiment bienveillant en tout points

Localização excelente em Budapeste
O host János foi muito gentil e atencioso. Mostrou todos os pontos turísticos e nos deu todas as explicações necessárias. O apartamento é charmoso e fica muito bem localizado. Como sugestão poderia ter uma modernização no banheiro e aquisição de mais utensílios para a cozinha, mas nada disso atrapalhe a excelente estadia que tivemos. A cidade é linda.

This was the most amazing experience. Accommodation is basic. But clean comfortable and the landlords amazing. Could not be more helpful or accommodating. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is situated right in the middle of the city and easy walking distance to just about everything. If you want to experience Budapest life stay here. János and Virag can help you with any personal tours. Thoroughly recommend Timea if you want to do some in depth tours. She is a fountain of knowledge. Can arrange small group tours walking or with a private vehicle. As stated can’t recommend Katona Apartment experience enough

The studio is large enough to accommodate four people. Air conditioning helped us a lot in the heatwave. The hosts were so nice to allow us to check in early. Virag gave many suggestions for our trip in Budapest. A small problem of the closet was quickly fixed by Janos.

Pros: Good Location. Nice host. Well equipped apartment. Cons: Sewage smell from the bathroom. Shower needs a better cleaning. But ofcourse, you get what you paid for.

Great stay
Wonderful service and location. Janos and Virag are very friendly welcoming and helpful. This was my third stay with them. Everything is walking distance, the subway is just a few feet away if needed.

The property was centrally located, safe, clean, and had all the necessary amenities for a wonderful stay. In addition, the hosts were very helpful in coordinating transportation to/from the airport and train station during our stay. We would definitely recommend the Katona!
