Friendly receptionists and comfort places. Just near to Penang Sentral, easy to access. I just love it!

Strategic hotel location, but limited car parking space. AirCond leaking at bathroom door.

value for money with the facility provided. Street Art just next door (just walk to enjoy the mural on the wall). So far on par for the cost spent.

A Quiet Gateway
This is my second year checked in to the same hotel during the new year eve. Only less than 10 mins away from the crowded and noisy city centre, I can finally find my serenity here.

Spacious Room
The hotel facilities appeared to be few years behind but given the spacious bedroom size and the big bed added up some + points for my review. I'll stay here again.

Very basic but mostly okay
The Lodge 18 is very basic. On the other hand, it's also very cheap. I reserved a "deluxe" room, thinking we might like whatever additional luxury was available. The room was clean and good sized and had the necessities--bed, pillows, towels, aircon, bathroom, shower, soap, glasses, and drinking water. No refrigerator, though. The shower is in a full sized bathtub, which was a bit hard to get in and out of. There was not enough hot water for our showers to be comfortable. I chose the hotel at least partly because a previous reviewer said the neighborhood had shops and restaurants, but by the time we arrived about 8:30 PM, almost everything had shut down. There is a convenience store across the street, and we finally found a good Indian restaurant around the block. For breakfast, we headed to the Palm Tree hotel across the street, which looks a bit more upmarket. I appreciated the fact that there was a lift, so we didn't have to drag our bags upstairs, and the electronic door locks seem to be good quality. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for, and for a quick overnight with an early morning meeting, the Lodge 18 was fine.

Hotel quite ok
Superior room is quite big with a big bathtub. Environment quite & clean. Just disappoint on the tv with no signal for normal channel and nothing to watch. The rest is quite ok.

Good location, not so good facilities
First time checking into this hotel in mainland Butterworth instead of in the island of Penang. Location wise is good, few bus stops away from the Penang Sentral, interchanges with bus, train and ferry terminals. Also there were eateries and a 7-11 near the hotel itself. However, there were quite a number of downsides. No fridge was provided in the room. The air-con was really bad! Didn't felt any cold air coming out. Cleanliness was not up to par in the room. Bathroom came with attached bathtub and was pretty okay.

Convenient Location
Convenient located at the older part of the Butterworth township. Nevertheless it was still convenient and walking distance to eateries.

Affordable suite room
The 1 bedroom suite is very much worth for what I'm paying. A jacuzzi tub, large window view of the historical clock tower and a kingbed that can keep you and your loved one a lovely lovely night **)

A Quiet Hotel
Surprisedly the hotel sound proof was quite OK. There are several night clubs across the street but once the room is closed, nothing noise from the outside! Recommend for who wants a quiet night.

Worth to stay again.
This trip was our family's second stey at this hotel. We chose a family room RM150 per nite for both stay. The 2 rooms unit is big emough n there is a mini freg too. Both rooms wondows face a big fieldwith green grass. Very easy to access to a main road n higheay. Walking distance with a 7-11 n a mini mart but quiet in the night. Very near to a ferry jetty n railway station.
