Hotel datato come costruzione, ma ristrutturato di recente, ubicato nel "vecchio" centro della città, zona forse non frequentabilissima di notte (ci si trova pur sempre nei pressi di una stazione), ma nel complesso posizione strategica per la visita a piedi delle principali attrazioni. Servizio e colazione di qualità. Proprio accanto all'hotel c'è un parcheggio privato su più piani (vitale di giorno) convenzionato con l'hotel per un costo di circa 6 €/gg

The hotel was amazing. I had a good stay and everything surrounding is easily accessible. The Hotel Rooftop is Amazing! However Expedia needs to communicate the booking to the hotel quicker as I arrived and they had no knowledge of my fully paid booking. Only after really searching did the hotel find it. It really dampened my arrival spirits but otherwise all was well.

great service, AMAZING ROOFTOP!
Really amazing staff and it's a great price for what you get. DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT CHECKING OUT THE ROOFTOP! It's really amazing up there and has awesome views. Location was nice as well...wasn't crazy about the room itself- strange lay out, views to a parking lot, but the shower was one of the best showers I had during my travel- possibly THE BEST, and the blowdryer they provide was also the best.

価格相応と言えば相応。シャワーのみでバスタブは使えない。レストランのメニューが少なすぎて、同じものばかり食べていた。近くで外食すればいいが、付近のレストランも月並み。エクスペディアで予約・支払いしたので、発生費用(incidentals)に付いてはカードのデポジットができなかった。結果、大目にカードを通したら、全額が先に引き落とされていた。残額を現金で返してくれることになったが、結局時間的に間に合わなくて、2000円程度余分に取られた。デポジットする際には、これがデポジットにならないので注意。必要最小限に預けるか、都度都度レストランで支払いをすべし。

Lamentável
Reservei um quarto de 29m2 com banheira. O quarto que ficamos tinha no máximo 12m2 (tínhamos 3 malas enormes), sem banheira e com cheiro ruim. Quando falamos com a recepção sobre a reserva, a menina disse que só poderíamos falar com o gerente de reservas e que ele não estava lá. O cofre não funcionou e depois de pedirmos ajuda aguardamos por 20min e desistimos abtes de chegar alguém para ajudar. Quando pedimos papel higiênico também levou mais de 30min e mais uma ligação para a recepção até que alguém trouxesse. Lamentável.

Service and check in was good however the room was really small and not very impressive. We had a most awfull smell lingering in the room throughout our stay..like a drain smell. And the noise frm downstairs actually woke me up a few times. Really not impressed at all.

Great Accommodation!
I really enjoyed it as it was my first trip out of Durban and it was a good hotel to start at. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to CPT. It is also central and next to a great Sushi Restaurant.

Room had no shower and the windows in the room had been filmed over so one could not see thru them to the outside ! I was also told breakfast was included when I checked in.... when I had already started eating I was told it wasn’t! At the end they comped the breakfast all due to the kind lady that was waiting on me. Her name was Noxi what a gem of an employee she gave the most professional impeccable service

Convenient for the city centre
This hotel is well placed for exploring the city centre on foot. On the other hand, it's not very safe to wander around the area after dark on your own, so always go in a small group. Everything was clean and modern but our room was small, particularly the bathroom, where there was no space to put anything! The Cape area is suffering from a severe drought so it's understandable they need to save water in the hotels - but the shower flow was very poor, and we probably wasted quite a lot of water trying to get a proper shower. The staff were friendly enough, but didn't pass on a telephone message to me. There's a roof garden, which it's worth going up to for the views over central Cape Town - and would probably be quite nice to sit out on in the summer months. All in all, this is a moderately priced hotel and if you'd like to explore the city sights on foot it is well situated - maybe opt for a larger double room.

Good and Central
I was thrilled to find any availability in the city center of Cape Town on the weekend of the biggest bike ride in the world, over 40,000 people!!! It has an ideal location, just a few blocks from Green Market Square and all the craft booths, Long Street, my favorite book store, Book Lounge, the Pan African Market,and some excellent restaurants, Carne on Keroom Street Shortmarket Club at 88 Shortmarket, and Fork on Long Street. Also close to Parliament and the Company Gardens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very reasonably priced and the drinks affordable.

Great hotel
I booked for my conference, 6 days, 5 nights. Room was clean, staffs were helpful and friendly, services were really good. However, staffs should warn next foreigners about cheats in Square area. It was a really bad memory of mine. Anyway, I will book the Diamond hotel for next business trip in Cape Town for sure.

Wir haben zusammen mit einem Freund je ein Zimmer gebucht zum gleichen Preis. Wir sind in einer Besenkammer untergebracht die kaum 2.5 auf 2.5 m gross ist, das Klo ist fast im Zimmer. Das Zimmer hat kein richtiges Fenster, wir sehen auf eine 2 m entfernte Hausmauer. Nachts zieht es vom Fenster direkt ins Bett. Der Spannteppich hat abstossende Flecken, man kann sich zu zweit kaum bewegen im Raum. Eine Person muss immer auf dem Bett bleiben. Die Türe zum Bad/WC ist ein Witz. Ein Vorhang würde mehr Privathspähre bieten. Nachdem wir das Zimmer unseres Freundes gesehen haben , haben wir uns beim Management erkundigt, ob ein Wechsel möglich sei. Uns wurde gesagt, wir müssen nochmals 50% pro Nacht zusätzlich zahlen. Das bei einem Zimmerpreis der bereits in der unteren Mittelklasse liegt. Diesen Preis wäre auch ein anständiges Zimmer in diesem Hotel nicht mehr wert. Insbesondere, da Frühstück nochmals, für einen stolzen Preis, extra bezahlt werden muss. Das Hotel ist nicht mehr das jüngste, Renovationen wären nötig. Der Lift ist historisch wertvoll, aber beängstigend. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen; wenn man Glück hat und ein anständiges Zimmer erhält wie unser Feund: Gut. Wenn man wie wir Pech hat, wird der Aufenthalt zur Qual, insbesondere wenn man unter Platzangst leidet. Das Hotel ist überteuert. Wir werden versuchen einen Teil des bezahlten Geldes zurück zu verlangen. Ich kann das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen und werde auch nicht mehr hier übernachten.

Adequate and mostly comfortable.
The hotel's internet service is bad. The front desk offers slips of paper with access codes for service lasting only about 20 minutes at a time. I purchased a one-hour slip for $100 Rand in addition to the 20 minute blocks of service. The hotel is adequate but the lack of readily accessible internet prevents me from calling it good.

Perfect for business
Perfect for business travel. The room was clean and comfortable with nice white linen and lovely toiletries. The room had an empty fridge which I appreciate. It was quiet and peaceful. Try stay at the back of the hotel for quiet rooms. Mine was 307.

安心・快適で素晴らしい。難点はWi-Fiだけ。
ケープタウンでの初日に治安面を考慮して宿泊しましたが、それは正解でした。シャワーのエアコンもベッドも快適でした。冷蔵庫もありこれまた便利でした。周辺には沢山の小売店やフードコートがあり、食事には大変便利で、かつブルーバスとレッドバスの駅にも近く、大変便利な立地でした。スタッフも皆親切で、観光の際に大いに助かりました。唯一の難点は、Wi-Fiの１日当たりの使用量が100MBという制限で、メールや調べ物をするとあっという間になくなります。以降は100MB単位での購入となるのですが、その料金が安くはないです。
