We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay but sorry to hear that you felt unsafe. Since the hotel reopened we have not been selling our full allocation of our rooms. The most we have allocated is 60% of our bed stock or less. We also have several signs at the gate and at the front door of the hotel stating that the hotel is for residents only. We are no longer taking any more outside guests for dinner, lunch or breakfast. We also provide a room service facility where guests may eat breakfast or dinner in their room. Also we have 14 different sanitising stations throughout the hotel. We provide a remote check in and check out service for all our guests. We have perspex screens on our reception and bar counters. We provide a locking system for all our public toilets meaning anybody who wishes to use the public bathrooms will have the area to themselves. We also encourage guests to use the toilet facility in their own bedrooms. All staff have undergone formal COVID Training which was sanctioned both by Peninsula and Failte Ireland. We are signed up to the Failte Ireland Safety Charter. We provide a contactless payment facility for all our guests. We have installed additional outdoor seating at the front of the hotel and around the fountain area. We have installed a one way system in our bar, restaurant and elevator. We have staff on duty every day constantly disinfecting door handles, hand rails etc. . We have produced a laminated menu for both dinner and breakfast which can be sanitised easily . We have introduced a QR code where guests can access all our menus on their phone or ipad. We have implemented a series of cleaning checks and rosters throughout the hotel. We also use a logging and traceability system for all staff. We check and log the temperature of all our staff on a twice daily basis.
