The staff was amazing! They greeted us and made us feel like their friend and not just a guest. They gave us a goodie bag as well too. Haven't seen that type of customer service at even a decent hotel let alone a motel. They were also Texas AM alumni!

They have an infestation of roaches. I killed more than 5 and saw another 5 around the room that I could not kill I did not sleep at all. Also, there was a terrible smell of marihuana

The shower design and drain is horrible. The entire floor gets wet. The shower head wouldn’t stay secured in.

Definitely a good price for a quick night’s sleep. Office staff was very nice. When we visited, March Madness was in full swing so motel was almost at capacity. Room smelled of smoke. That’s my biggest complaint. Everything was good-average. Checked in late to get up early so good deal for a quick sleep.

My room faced Texas Avenue on the 2nd floor. My stay was Saturday night through Sunday morning. The street lights were very bright, the curtains could only do so much, and the cacophony from the street below did not let up until 3am; I swear there must've been drag racing at some point. Also, there was no shampoo in the room...it is a budget hotel I guess...which necessitated a late night dash to CVS Pharmacy for travel sized shampoo so that I could have something to shower with in the morning. The shower was clean & functional, ample hot water and good water pressure, so kudos for that. The bed was comfortable but the mattress slid around some when sat on. No room fridge but again, budget hotel. I know the property can't do anything about the street noise but travelers should be aware and ask for rooms not facing Texas Avenue.

Hotel owner was very nice. Check in was great. Everything was clean. I'm just not a fan of pine sol. If you like big fluffy pillows. You will need to bring your own.

If you need an inexpensive place that’s clean, stay here. Just lock the doors and close the curtains, there are some sketchy characters that walk through the area.

The young man at the front office was extremely nice and helpful. The room was a bit run down, but clean. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I have had worse at far more expensive hotels. This hotel served it's purpose; I had a place to lay my head that was cheap and central to the location of my event.

Room was filthy. Clearly not clean properly. Empty condom wrapper on floor, roaches, other trash, shower filthy. No soap, no microwave, no refrigerator.

I understood at the time of the reservation that it was a smoke-free property. However, upon entering the room, it smelled of heavy cigarette or vape smoke. Not happy since have asthma issues and allergies. Not an option to move elsewhere due to being in town for a wedding and on a deadline during my stay.

We have stayed at this property several times over the past 5 years and as lower-rate hotels go, it has always been clean, reasonable, and right in the heart of town. However, during this two-night stay, there was no hot water the entire time. When I called the front desk to mention at the beginning of my stay I was told that I needed to wait until the tank filled up again; everyone must have checked out at once. No follow-up calls to check, and no offer to relocate me to another room. I waited 4.5 hours for the tank to fill up and water to warm up and get hot. However, it never happened. At check-out, I requested compensation for my stay due to this issue and was told the same thing about the tank needing to fill up. I explained that never happened (Friday - Sunday) and was told I'd have to talk to management to ask for compensation. The front desk attendant took my name, number, and room number and I also added my email and he said he'd pass it along to management. We'll see but I will be contacting the main reservation line to file a formal complaint.

It’s was very disgusting dangerous and would not recommend to anyone there was blood on my walls like hands dragging down the wall you could see finger prints dragging down cigarette burns in all blankets hair in shower pubes in shower sheets made me and my fiancée itchy floors was sticky just very disgusting place to stay I would take this place off all listings and have this place down I haven’t gotten my refund or heard back from them yet neither

The young at check in and check were Real. Not pretentious. They were available, acted with a sense of urgency, kind, and courteous young Men. The establishment was sparse, but the price was right, not overpriced. I'm not pretentous either, sometimes a person just needs a clean safe decent place to sleep. Thank you

Run down hotel
The room was a bit rundown. The sheets were pretty old looking, but the bead was decent. The hot water wasn’t hot enough & the hot and cold was backwards. The first night, I had no hot water, even though I tried with the dial on hot and on cold. The next morning, I was able to take a shower that was warm, but by no means hot. I planed on sleeping in on the 2nd morning, but housekeeping knocked and opened My door at 0900 when I was still in bed. Checkout wasn’t until 1100. Absolutely ridiculous! I won’t stay there again.

We have stayed here multiple times over the last 5 years and have always had a good experience. This stay, however, was much different. When we checked in, there was a young lady sitting with a large pile of her belongings in front of the room next door to ours. She appeared to be waiting on a ride, but after settling into our room, she was still there. I went to the office to ask about her and was told she had checked out and would be gone before long. Not a good look for the motel since this was very near the office where everyone checks in. The toilet had not been cleaned even though the rest of the room was perfect. About 6:30 the next morning, we were awakened by a loud grinding or sanding noise. It lasted for several minutes and thoroughly ruined our sleep. We were very disappointed with our stay and will not stay here again..

Second time in one week we stayed here and asked for the same room as before because we knew what to expect. We may need to make sure next time there's been no animals in the room since my husband is allergic.

It’s fine for a last minute game weekend
Give it 3 stars. Not great, not terrible. The room was clean. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub but there was also good hot water. It was a game weekend so didnt have a choice and had to take a smoking room. They were nice enough to put a “deionizing machine” in the room for a couple of hours while we were out which helped a little. My bed felt a little lumpy but again it was clean. Never felt unsafe. Staff gave out a nice welcome bag at checkin with waters and a bag of chips.

This is a really good game day motel. No frills, but a great value. Clean rooms and easy to get to campus. Super nice staff. Pro tip, when reserving, if you’re a non-smoker, be sure you are reserving a non smoking room. This is the first smoking option rooms that I’ve seen in long time.
