We loved staying here. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. We got to use the complimentary bikes our entire stay and loved being able to watch the sunset on the dock. Will be coming back.

The Inn was peaceful serenity. I loved sitting on our porch watching the waves. The staff were very friendly, helpful and considerate. We didn’t have time to take advantage of their water sports rentals but it was great to have it right there. We would definitely go back here to stay.

I truly loved the location on the water. Decor was quaint and very clean and kept up. Our room # 51 was very large with 2 showers! I wasn’t keen on being on 3rd floor, as toting luggage was a chore, but once there was fine.

We loved our stay at Inn at Corolla Light. So welcoming to us and our fur baby. The view was magnificent. Lovely to walk along the sound every morning and evening on the trail. Breakfast is perfect. We didn’t have a chance but there’s even free bikes to use! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Lovely small Inn with great views of the sound. The staff were wonderful and took care of everything we needed. There was a variety of dining options nearby. Included continental breakfast was simple but plentiful and a good quick morning bite. Highly recommend.

This place is a jewel! Stayed for one night and it was total bliss. Huge clean room, access to a local resort and beach included with the room, and free bikes to get around... arrived a little early for check-in and was encouraged to hang out by the pool: very relaxing, comfortable hammock in the gazebo, and beautiful views of the bay. A gem.

This was such a nice getaway! The Inn at Corolla Light is quaint and has a homey charm to it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Big highlights included location, service, and easy access to sign up for excursions/activities. Corolla is a very quaint, little beach town that gives you a relaxed, secluded experience. The local restaurant/bar scene was really cool in Corolla... locals are extremely nice! You're also only 15-20 minutes from Nags Head if you want the full, "tourist" experience of a beach with fun shops and a nice boardwalk. The Inn has a trolley that takes you to and from the beach every 20-30 minutes, as well as a few other stops on it's loop. This made travel to the beach very convenient. After a few coronas we were also able to walk to the beach and multiple local restaurants in under 20 minutes. Very good infrastructure for pedestrians off the main road that the inn is located on. Our room faced the sound which had an amazing view and direct access to the main deck/dock. They also have many options for activities you can reserve right from the inn itself, including kayaking, jet skis, a tour to see wild horses and more. Also shout to the man who runs the continental breakfast! He was so nice, he greeted and held the door for everyone that came in, and had some fun stories to share!

Hard to give a review of this place as I have many contrasting feelings about it. 1st1the good stuff. Staff is incredible. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. They also accommodated an early checkin for me which was a life saver! My room was spacious with a beautiful view of the bay. Great big shower (two showers in the room which is a bit odd), and tons of room to move about in the room. AC worked well. Breakfast was good enough, coffee was fabulous. I love that there were bikes available to use. Negatives about my room (51): my room had 3 windows, none of which opened. One of the windows had no shade or anything, and I was forced to hang a towel on it, as I overlooked the bay and the pier which offered a constant flow of traffic for water sport activities. The room was also quite humid and musty. And VERY dated. Shelf over the small sink made it almost impossible to wash your face without getting water everywhere. Could use more hooks/bars to hang towels. A coffee table or other type table would also have been nice. Tv was too small. Things to be aware of- there are no elevators- so if you have mobility issues, be warned. The rooms by the pool would be a nightmare for me. People walking directly by the window offers no privacy or quiet whatsoever. Parking during the day could also be hard. It’s hit or miss here depending on your actual room here. Overall- quaint but inconsistent. And Definitely overpriced.

Ms. Fischer,Thanks for your review of our property. We are glad the staff experience was good for you and that you were able to check in early to your room. Unfortunately, we dont recommend that people open windows in the room as we are located on a bay and depending on weather and wind conditions, we occasionally experience bugs if windows are open this time of year. We appreciate your recommendations on room renovations and will take those into consideration.

stayed at this hotel five years ago and it was amazingly clean, rooms were tidy, staff was super courteous. Such a contrast from this last visit....cob webs everywhere, had spiders and ants in our room, staff was not courteous.

Our apologies that the property was not suitable for you. The OBX has been inundated this season through out the area with spiders. We have to spray several times a day and a lot of it depends on the wind direction, etc as well as being located on a bay. Hopefully you let management know before you left about the issues listed. Again, our apologies.

Our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced while at our property.. The OBX has been inundated with spiders all season this year due to weather, wind direction and rain. We are especially vulnerable here as we are located on a bay. We do spray several times a day to try and control. Hopefully, you addressed issue with management before checking out. Nice hotel in a great location
This hotel was good, but I doubt we'll stay here again. It's in a great location and our room was large and had a wonderful view of the bayside. The small complaints that I had would be there was no room in the sink area for any cosmetics or normal items for getting ready. Just putting a small shelving unit on the one wall next to the sink would help to address this issue though. This sink was also not located in the bathroom itself. It was by the exterior door and then the toilet & shower were across from it in a closed in bathroom. This made it difficult for one person to sleep in if they wanted to since the other person would have to turn the light on and make noise to get ready using the sink area. And, the other issue was there wasn't central air. It was a unit that would turn on and off throughout the day and night. It was very noisy and we would have to turn the TV volume up and down as it turned on and off because of this noise which was very annoying. It also made the temperature seem inconsistent throughout our stay.

We are also looking at the efficiency of our AC units. We will be happy to show you a different room or talk about another room with you at any time you may consider returning.

Staff was great, property nice and clean. Only issue is we were on the third floor and with no elevator, it was a little tough for my elderly Mom to go up and down the stairs. Other than that, it was great. Nice views too!

We loved our king suite on the sound, nice deck and beautiful views; we sat in our chairs every morning with coffee and every evening with wine for sunsets. Great breakfast set up. Don’t know how the other smaller rooms facing the street would be but we loved our choice. Nice friendly staff.

So the hotel itself is dated and if you move anything in the room, you may find a dead bug. It wasn’t dirty by any stretch, just the nature of an older hotel in the south at the beach. The walls are very thin and if you are driving, do yourself a favor and bring your pillow from home. But the view is just lovely. I had a room with a shared balcony right on the water and I thought that and the wonderful, attentive staff made up for anything the room lacked in luxury. I even arrived very late in the night (front desk closed at 7), and the night manager was literally waiting outside for me, knew my name, and showed me to my room. I really appreciated it as the property would likely have been difficult to navigate in the dark without knowing where I was going. I would just set expectations for a 3* rated room, and then you will be pleasantly surprised by the 5* view and service. :)

I got this room for indoor pool and there wasn’t one bc it was down and it took forever in the shower to get hot water and never could get it in the sink at all
