Bedste sted på øen. Mest chillede vibe, og ligger i gåafstand til alt. Man kan fra Hippo udforske alt, samt bare hænge ud. De har den dejligste dykkerskole tilknyttet, og de gør meget for lokale mennesker og dyr. 100 hjerter til dette sted!

super sejour dans cet hotel. Nous avions booké les plongées avec le dive center partenaire et tout etait absolument parfait. Restau sur la plage avec beaucoup de choix et tres bon. Literie confortable. Très propre.

Good location, nice food, clean
The management at Hippocampus we’re excellent. We booked the room less than 24 hours before arriving but they responded to emails immediately and organised our transfer from Cebu airport. The rooms at Hippocampus are fairly basic but still some of nicest on the island from what I saw. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the ac works well. The balcony is also really nice especially if there is a rainy patch. WiFi didn’t work in our room but you can just walk down the stairs and it connects in the restaurant or on the beach although can be slow. The shower water is slightly salty however we extended our stay and moved hotel (Hippocampus was booked up) and their water was the same. This is just how it is on malapascua. The water was nice and warm though and the pressure was ok and you get used to the slight saltiness!

Very nice hotel on the beach. Having salt water piped into my shower and sink was very strange and not enjoyable at all. Showering in salt water? No thanks. Next time I'll stay in a hotel that has Fresh Water.

Hi there, We are glad you enjoyed your time here with us, we appreciate your feed back! Our apologies for the unusual saltiness of the water. We are coming towards the end of the dry season here on the island and we haven't had any significant rain fall in several months. As a result the fresh water source levels on the island have dropped significantly therefore concentrating the natural salts and minerals in the water. We assure you that it is not sea water we are supplying to our rooms. Our water comes from wells as does every water source here in Malapascua, and we are all experiencing the same difficulties with the salt levels in the water. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

War schöner Aufthalt, direkt am Strand, angenehme Livemusik bis 22 Uhr. WiFi nur beim Restaurant. Grosser Frühstückteller, am zweiten Tag dauerte es aber eine Stunde. Sonst alles Okay.

comme dans beaucoup de clubs de plongée, l'hébergement est simple mais très correct. Nous avions réservé une chambre sans climatisation ni eau chaude mais avons été immédiatement "upgradé" gratuitement. Service très efficace, staff sympathique. Très bon séjour.

Great place Great value!
Had a great stay at Hippocampus, incredible value for money and one of the best restaurants on the island! They are also right next to Devocean Divers which is a great dive shop!

Hippocampus is the best option in the Island
I saw many reviews elsewhere and couldn't find any good hotel in the price range. So I went ahead and booked this hotel feeling that my stay would be average in my mind. But it turned out to be totally opposite of what was expected. Rooms were nice though you can say condition were not that good but not that bad too. Welcomes drinks were offered and hotels had a nice vibe as you can go directly to the beach plus they have a lovely restaurant too.

Väldigt bra restaurang som höjer betyget! Men rummen var inte jättetrevliga. Fick tyvärr både fläckiga handdukar och lakan ett par dagar. Sen var hotellet i ganska bra skick och helt okej bekvämt. Ligger jättefint på bounty Beach, som är den bästa på Malapascua.

The hotel was amazing and perfect. Right in front of the beach and close to everything! The staff was amazing and helpful in everything. Food was awesome and the room was very clean and the bed super comfy! I would totally recomend this place!

Awesome hotel with happy, friendly staff and efficient service. The beach location, sunset views, a/c clean and comfortable rooms, views, entertainment, fabulous food, drinks and dive shop are all a 10+. We have stayed here twice and have not been disappointed with anything. Very well priced for the luxury. Damz the dive master is very thorough with safety and knowledgeable of the creatures of the sea. Christy the owner is a beautiful person and takes pride in making sure the visitor enjoy their time at Hippocampus.

Väldigt mysigt och framför allt prisvärt hotell som har trevlig personal, kanonbra frukost och god service för dykare. Kunniga guider och Nitrox. Happy hours som man inte glömmer så lätt!

몇가지만 빼면 전반적으로 만족
방도 넓은 편이고 깨끗하고 직원들도 친절하고 전반적으로 좋았어요 단지 방에 있는 세이프티박스가 작동안해서 해달라고 했는데 체크아웃할때까지 안왔고, 말라파스쿠아 수도 사정은 알지만 씻기 불편할 정도로 물이 잘 안나왓어요 그래도 따뜻한 물은 잘 나왔음 조식은 조금 느렸지만 그냥그냥 먹을만은 했으나 많이 기대하지는 말길 특히 주스에는 물을 너무타서 이맛저맛아니고 팬케이크나 프렌치토스는 너무 시럽이 많아 달았음 그래도 먹을만했어요 와이파이는 기대하지 않는것이 좋아요 대부분의 룸안에서는 안잡힘

Siisti sukeltajien suosima hotelli hyvällä sijainn
Edullisimmat huoneet yhtä pienet kuin odotimme, ei kovin viihtyisät, mutta siistit. Henkilökunta mukavaa ja ystävällistä sekä hotellin että baarin/ravintolan ja sukelluskeskuksen osalta. Hotelli sopiikin erityisesti sukelluksesta kiinnostuineille. Jääkaappi olisi hyvä lisä huonevarusteluun.

Good vibe
We enjoyed our stay. Its very basic but has got what you need. Breakfast is nice. Bar has a good wibe. Great live music during the weekend. Staff very friendly. Bad thing, wifi was slow and didnt reached our room. Check your bill, plenty of things were wrong and things that we did pay directly when ordering was still left as unpaid on our bill when checkout.

Malapascua är en ö för dykning. Finns inte mycket annat att göra. Bredvid Hippocampus ligger Devocean Divers som jag dök med. Riktigt trevlig personal, instruktörer och divemaster. Rummet i sig var välstädat, dock inget varmvatten i badrummet, vilket skulle vart skönt efter vissa dyk.

Hello and thank you for your review! Malapascua is a diving island, yes, but it is also a place people come to relax and unwind. There are several island hopping or snorkeling tours offered here, and we are actually the only resort that offers custom trips to Bantayan Island and the only resort with an in-house kitesurfing school! Next time you will have to try both :) The standard rooms (our cheapest rooms) have no hot water, because that requires a lot of electricity to each room, which is very expensive on this island. Malapascua is run by generators which means they need to haul fuel over here every day, and they charge us a premium for it. If you want hot water, you simply need to upgrade to a different room. OK rooms - premium price charged for good location
Room was clean but felt like it needed to be freshened up a bit - I can't quite work out if that's because it's starting to get a bit old, or just the way it was decorated and presented. In any case, the room was fine - no complaints. I think they charge a bit of a premium for their location - right in the middle of the main restaurants. You can find better rooms for the same price a few hundred metres either side.

We are aware the rooms need a little freshening up... we are actually currently going through a brand refresh which includes bringing in a professional interior designer to brighten up and freshen up the rooms. not worth your money...
when we arrived we got a twinn bed room insted of double room, so the next day they moved us to the double room. we didnt have hot water in the shower, and the toilet didnt flush...... and the most upsetting part was that evry time that we want to pay for our orders from the restaurant they included to the bill things that we didnt order or we already paid for. the room is nice, and the location is good, but its just not worth the cost of it

Overall it was a good experience! I had a standard room which I believe is overpriced not having air conditioning, a refrigerator, hot water or wifi! The staff were amazing and the superior rooms looked good if you are willing to pay the price!

Wonderful diving Experience
All hotels in Philippines are Aircon as it is a tropical country. If hotel is non aircon it clearly specify in its description. That is standard i all philippines. However, in this hotel they do not specify which rooms are aircon and which ones not. But once upon arrival they tell that the one booked was non aircon. Then they charge extra for turning on the aircon switch ( the rooms actally have aircon but is disconnected from main switch if not paid additional).

酒店房間不錯,整潔度高,早餐選擇多,在島上算不錯的了,唯一缺點是:星期六晚上酒吧一直在動次動次到凌晨3點鐘,比較難入睡

來到malspsscua島 各種條件都不好，所以無法和別的地方作比較，一般來說 二百多元港幣的房都是沒空調，沒熱水，4點多公雞開始叫，這酒店服務員算是不錯，早餐也很好，我們在這家酒店住了5天，最後兩天因為100元一晚的價格試住過別的酒店，真的比不上之前的酒店，便宜真沒好的，水壓太底不能好好洗澡，床又很不舒服 睡不好，早餐當然沒有，所以總括來說海馬酒店還算不錯了

hôtel trop bruyant
Hôtel très bruyant. Impossible de dormir avec le bruit des chiens et des coqs de la ferme voisine. Pas de climatisation. Évitez le french kiss diver à coté de l'hôtel = pas aimable, pour une deuxième plongée en débutant on a vraiment été déçus...
