The cleanliness was not great. The breakfast options were limited and fruits were not fresh. If you are a light sleeper, you will be woken up so early because of guests stepping in the room above you which was so uncomfortable.

Restaurants within walking distance. Good free breakfast at this hotel. We rented the one bedroom suite that has separate bedroom from the living room/ kitchen area. Love having space where my husband can work late on his computer (with desk area) while I can rest in the bedroom.

We were in a non smoking room, but clearly a previous guest smoked in the room and the smell was lingering. There will little things all over that were broken and fixed with tape.

Deadbolt broken. Slow shower drain. Window lock broken. Fire alarm triggered by simply showering. Window bug screen is dented (allows in bugs). Window can only be cracked open. Constant traffic noise.

Great stay. Checkin was fast and easy thanks to Barbara’s friendliness and genuine care. Room nice size-well larger than average, equipped kitchenette, good shower pressure and comfortable bed.

Staff good. Hotel not so good. Not very clean, mold in shower, did not drain also. Breakfast was average. Room also had cooked food odor upon checkin that did not get any better over a 3 night stay. Price was fair, hotel can do better.

A great place to stay
This was very clean. We stayed three times in a couple of weeks so three rooms all perfectly clean. The staff were super helpful, breakfast was great. The location was close enough to town to be walkable but also easy to get around other parts of Denver from there.

My room was basically like a studio apartment. It was nice having a full kitchen that I can prepare meals in. I also really like the area. If cooking, isn’t your thing, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again.

Our room had issues with kitchen plumbing for 3 days before they would move us to another room. Kitchen flooded 4 times during our stay. Maintenance did not show up on the first day and on second day when they showed they couldn’t do anything about it and had to call in an outside plumber who wouldn’t do the work until outstanding bill was paid the following day. We had to wait in room until they showed and missed breakfast for two days and had to cancel our morning plans waiting in room for two days.

It’s nothing really fancy but it’s clean, comfortable and well run. You can easily access the public transportation which was very good and safe and there are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short bus ride.

Disappointed
The hotel is very overpriced vis a vis the quality of the rooms. For example, windows don't open, the molding around door frame fell off, and the door to a room does not close, upholstery on furniture is stained.

Towne Place Hotel Downtown Denver was convenient to which to drive- just off Speer Blvd at Broadway, near Denver General Hospital. It is in the former Hirschfield building, so some historical significance. The interior layout and decorating is dated, especially for the price of the room. We found the room clean and met our needs, just not a bright and uplifting room.

Was just okay!
Kitchen and bathroom faucets both leaked onto the counters. Bathroom towels were small and thin. Sheets were thin and pillows small. Laundry facilities were not working. Very loud air conditioning unit. Breakfast buffet was not properly tended to. The garbage overflowed, food items not restocked in a timely manner. On morning 5 of 6 there was no more yogurt nor milk. I went to the front desk to inquire about the buffet status, the young man really didn’t care. Clearly it wasn’t his problem. So, not great at all. Definitely not Marriott standards. Will look at other hotels for our next baseball trip.
