Had a nice stay. The facility is close to a busy road so I heard the traffic very early but that isn't the facilities fault. Clean and the staff was helpful and nice

Room was clean, holes in bedding and scuffed walls. Bathroom was nicely done. Heater turned off halfway through the night and we woke up pretty cold. Pillows were made of rocks …terrible.

The bed was extremely hard and stuff, very uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were also not very good. Overall very clean space and updated.

Clean basic hotel
Hotel was clean and comfortable. No frills basic hotel. Just what we needed. Vending machine was empty. Not that I wanted anything just noticed it getting ice.

The owner was pleasant and showed us to the room. He explained why he did not have a mini frige or microwave, and said not to bother with the phone. The toilet paper was very thin, and no tissues (I have to blow my nose a lot). We brought our own sheets, just in case, and our own coffee maker. I wish there had been grab bars for the shower and near the stool, but he did put us in a downstairs room after he met us. There were dirty smudges around the door frame that was unsightly, and no chair to sit on, which might explain the thin spots on the sheets. It was sweet that he pointed out the birds nest in the corner, and watching the swallows swarm the next morning was a treat, although there was a buildup of bird droppings on the fire extinguisher and ground. The room was not bad, the location convenient but on a busy street. (I'm used to traffic noise). The set up kind of cute/old school. Because I'm a senior a chair and grab bars near the stool would have been nice. The shower was lovely although it did take a bit of time to warm up. I liked the idea of the wall dispenser for the soap and shampoo, and there were two bottled water available. The other items are convenient, but not necessary. Bare bones accommodation, but the price was right and we slept well. Enjoyed the stay, but if you are high maintenance, you would be out of luck. It is what it is and it worked for us.

The units were clean and in good shape. Lots of lights. Good shower. The street outside was noisy with frequent motorcycles, but with the air conditioner on the noise didn't bother me.

This place was definitely cozy. It was clean and quiet. The room had a bit of a smell but once the AC was turned on it was fine.

Overall, I really enjoyed staying at the small little hotel! The room was very clean and very cozy. The staff person who checked me in is kind and courteous. The only thing that made bother other guests are the traffic on the fairly busy street outside or the area of town in which this hotel is located. I was pleasantly surprised overall, I would stay there again.

The outsides of the buildings look a bit rough, but the insides are very nice. The showers are large and tiled. The owner is always onsite and is very helpful.

Great place for the $$
The hotel was great. The room looked just like the pictures. Check in was easy and the man behind the counter was helpful and pleasant. The shower was amazing (big enough for 2 people) The only thing that may upset customers would be the noise from the traffic in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, as I am, the traffic could wake you up. My wife slept thru it. I would highly recommend this hotel. You can not go wrong at this price.

Inexpensive, Clean, and no frills
It was the least expensive hotel in the Des Moines area. It was very much like a motel 6. It was clean and comfortable - but no amenities.

Very nice, need a chair
It was a renovated room. Nice and clean. The sink, shower, and toilet were all very nice. But the room was very small, with no fridge, no microwave. More importantly, not a single chair! If we arrived early, maybe we could ask the front desk. We need a chair just to sit to put shoes on. A bed there was too high. The front desk staff was very nice. The road noise did not bother us.
