Given the absolute rating of the hotel, in addition to how the St Regis brand should fare within the Marriott portfolio, i would have expected better attention to detail and meticulousness.
1) Room cleaning daily was not consistent- came back to rolled dirty linen on the floor one evening and had to call housekeeping to clear it. Bath tub was not cleaned after use - thankfully as a family occupying more than one room, we could use others, although not ideal. Ironing board not put away after use and left in the same spot until checkout
2) internet use in rooms charged extra - for the price point and guest profile, wouldn't expect this.
3) service not always with speed and expedience.
You can see the staff is trying, but given the brand and it's relative ranking within the portfolio, would expected a basic consistent standard of service beyond the property aesthetics.
