VRBO Brian, I am sorry for your bad experience with my condo in downtown Durango. As you noted, you found bugs (later identified by Orkin at box elder bugs) and reached out to me. I immediately responded with Orkin emergency service to come in and take care of the problem for you. This is also my residence and I have never had an issue. I have always done whatever the guest would like to remedy any issues with no questions asked. Orkin came in and sprayed the first day, while you all were out. They advised they found a couple box elder bugs in the window seals. They were not everywhere and Orkin can confirm this in their report. I am sorry for this and we took care of the issue. Since you left, we have not had any issues, so I find it hard to believe the bugs continued after the Orkin spray. We can provide receipts of the service, of which was left at the condo for you during the stay. There are also extra beds by the couch that could have been used if you had an issue with the main bed. As for the wig, again, I am very surprised at this and I’m not sure where this came from. I had not seen a wig and we have the unit professionally cleaned after and before every stay, by a very reputable cleaning service in town. I do not know where this came from and honestly never saw and did not know of this until you complained in this post. Lastly the noise. My unit is not attached to a bar, it is behind a bar. The unit is downtown Durango and downtown Durango can get loud, including the bar near my unit. This is disclosed very clearly. I further provide ear plugs and white noise machines for my guests to use. I cannot control what happens on the streets in downtown Durango late at night. Again, the potential for noise at night was disclosed very clearly prior to your booking. It is an amazing location, that is convenient and walkable to anywhere downtown Durango. Brian, regarding the refund, of course if bugs were all over the place, I would refund for the whole stay. Upon the Orkin report, that was not the case and we did not refund you for the night. That was our agreement. You did not get your way and you wrote the negative review at 2:59AM. Contrary to your review, you chose to stay the entire stay at my unit rather than relocate to a hotel. Many were available near my unit at the same time. If it was that bad, you could have left and I could have refunded you for those nights. Your agenda seems clear to me, that you simply wanted a free stay. Unit owners beware. I stay in the unit all the time and have never felt unsafe. My guests have never felt unsafe once as well. The police station is 2 blocks straight up the street from my unit. It is a very safe area and very safe unit. You had said you would like to stay and lived the location. Again, as disclosed, it can be loud in downtown Durango. I have all the reports for anyone to see. I will write up a contract guaranteeing a full refund to guests experiencing any sort of bug infestation during their stay with me. Sincerely, Holly

Hi Susie, I apologize I’m just now responding, I am relatively new at all of this! Thank you for the feedback we really appreciate it! I am working on replacing the massage chair so hopefully if you stay with us again we’ll have it ready for you to use!! Hopefully your staying safe throughout all this craziness!

I’m sorry about your stay, we will absolutely honor the rest of your stay anytime at no additional charge! We did just get a large, high end convection oven. I did a lot of research and they’re in a lot of VRBOs and guests have hosted holidays with them! It’s hard to get plumbing, electrical to certain areas in historic downtown and we are still relatively new at this!
