It was just as I expected from Comfort Inn, but lacking in a few areas: we were first put in a room that smelled pretty at first, but less than a minute later, that pretty smell was noticeably strong even after I opened the window. I would probably have a migraine after an hour! The check in person put us in another room, no problem whatsoever. Our new room didn’t have a switch for the lights when you walked in, just for the entry. So we had to walk in the dark to figure out how to turn the other lights on! Once that was solved, it just became normal every night we walked in! The next morning, as we were coming down for breakfast, the elevator got stuck! We were amazed at how quickly the staff handled the situation, got us out of there within 5 minutes! The staff is super, super nice, we loved the breakfast lady who is always so friendly and helpful. But Comfort Inn needs to step up and give this hotel some TLC.

The hotel was nice. I will say, expedia still says theyre pet friendly. I was very disappointed when i got there and they were not pet friendly and non refundable. Made me feel like i was incompetent and i was embarassed.

This is a nice property. Rooms are spacious, updated and clean. Our room had a kitchenette w/ stove & oven. Available upon request are pots, pans or dishes. (Not a complaint, just FYI). Breakfast had eggs (scramble & hard-boil), sausage, waffles, yogurt and more. My only complaint is the Indoor pool is not heated.

All of the room windows at this property do not lock. I was on the 2nd floor and did not feel safe. The front desk representative was very kind and moved me to a room on a higher floor, but I would not recommend this property for solo travelers.

Pros: Quiet room and comfortable bed. Good nights sleep. Nice staff. AC worried well. Cons: Chemical Smell of cleaning products overwhelming when we arrived. Weirdly low sink and toilet. No coffee for coffee maker. Sticky floor in bathroom. Overall good for what we needed but not if you had to spend a lot of time in room.

Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly try to get better with the chemicals smell, and make sure housekeeping does not over do the chemicals on the bathroom floor so they will not be sticky, some times they go over and not add the proper amount of water thinking the more chemicals the cleaner it is so we are truly sorry about that. The first room I was assigned had inadequate AC running so I was moved to a second room. In the second room the hairdryer was not functioning so they gave me a key card to an empty room and I used the hair dryer in that room. I found that unusual so made sure I did not leave any hair in that second room since it would probably not be cleaned again before another guest was placed in it. The rooms were clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. Both the night and daytime staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. Good breakfast options.

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry the circuit on the hairdryer in the room you were in did not reset, your assumption about the second room not being cleaned is wrong, we do not use a room even if someone goes in to see it, the room is put out of service and the next day the re clean the bathroom and replace the towels, we will certainly share your feedback with the staff and thank you for your kind words on staff,. we wish you the best in your future travels.

Hello, thank you for your freed back, the Fairfax area is expensive, we are a limited service hotel as are all Comfort hotels, our prices are lower than the other limited service hotels in the area like Courtyard which is 50 to 70 dollars higher and the Full service hotels are 80 to 130 dollars higher than us. Good luck in your future travels.

This is a very clean hotel with very helpful and polite staff. There is a great supermarket, 7-11, Wendy's, and gas station within easy walking distance. The only real downside is the fitness room...very small and outdated, and it needs to be wiped down more often.
