Magnifica esperienza, camera di buone dimensioni rifatta recentemente tutta piastrellata con le classiche ceramiche della costiera e arredata semplicemente ma con molto buon gusto. Gestione a conduzione familiare tutti molto simpatici e collaborativi. Ottima la possibilità di aver parcheggio per la macchina o per la moto (nel nostro caso) a solo 10 Euro al giorno che sembra un costo alto ma per chi conosce la problematica di parcheggio della zona è veramente nulla. Il mare è a circa 50 metri dalla camera altra cosa rara in costiera. Ottimo anche il ristorante in riva la mare. Unica piccola nota negativa e che ogni tanto l'acqua calda scarseggiava.

Servizio ottimo
Già conoscevo Alfonso a mare e vi sono ritornato molto volentieri perchè i proprietari ed il personale sono molto gentili e disponibili. Si mangia bene e la posizione dell'albergo è incantevole. inoltre dalla spiaggetta c'è la possibilità di usufruire di un servizio per visitare Capri e le meraviglie della costiera amalfitana.

Una bellissima esperienza, sotto tutti i punti di
L'unica cosa uo po' negativa e' stato il tempo--ha piovuto un po' e faceva freddino, cosa motlo strana per meta' luglio. Comunque, siamo riusciti a fare il bagno le stesso e la gita in barca intorno a Capri. Un posto incantevole con ottimo servizio. I proprietari sono simpatici e veramente disponibili. CI ritoreneremo di sicuro.

l albergo è posizionato in un punto molto caratteristico della costiera ma anche molto scomodo..quando siamo arrivati abbiamo trovato i campioncini di shampoo e bagnoschiuma a metà...una stanza che sembrava un sotterraneo...ottima disponibilità dei due camerieri e anche molto simpatici...totale indisponibilità della moglie del proprietario che ci avrebbe fatto pagare sia il parcheggio che la stanza se l'avessimo tenuta per qualche ora in più....zero considerazione per il fatto di avere un bimbo di 10 mesi....abbiamo girato mezzo mondo ...è la prima volta che paghiamo la tassa di soggiorno...semplicemente scandaloso....

We loved our stay here so much that we extended it by a day! The staff here are just absolutely amazing, kind, accommodating, and just wonderful to chat with. The views were amazing and just a fantastic environment to be in. One thing that we would like to note is that the dinner is a little pricey for the portion size that you receive opposed to the other restaurants that are found in the same cove. Breakfast that was included was perfect and we also had pizza for lunch which was yummy as well. It would be also nice that the chairs on the beach were included with a guests hotel stay versus having the guests pay extra for one. Having the beach right there is the lure of why we chose this hotel oppose to others, so that was a little disappointing.

Well what a shame! We had such high hopes but the owners of this place and their absolute arrogance destroyed the dream entirely. The location is absolutely superb, every other bar and restaurant overflowing with authenticity and warmth so our trip was saved by their hospitality. The owners of the hotel sit like lords eating and grazing all day with absolutely no regard to the people supporting their business with not a word of hello, goodbye or enjoy. The rest of the staff are obviously miserable in a way I’ve never seen in Italy, usually it’s a joy to see the workers enjoying a meal together however it was quite clear this was not extended to them here. Assuming it’s fully booked with or without effort makes them a lazy host and we’d will be returning to Praiano but will stay at La Conchiglia next door, a small family business whose warmth and kindness abounds like the lemon groves surrounding. The little bar and restaurant next door is sublime and always full speaking volumes to the empty tables at Alfonso. Watch out, your arrogance may well be your downfall.

I had really high hopes for this place. Positive- employee at check in during our stay was really nice and helpful. She gave us information for the Sita and information for the area which was so appreciated. The rooms were nice and clean. Negative- the beach chairs here were more than what you pay for at L’Incanto in Positano. The hotel restaurant staff that we encountered was not friendly. We ended up eating at Trattoria Da Armandino. Overall, I think this area is better for older crowd, would highly suggest going into city of Praiano, and eating at Che Bonita, best pizza and friendly staff.

We had an amazing time here! The staff were lovely and they were kind enough to upgrade our room! The area around the hotel has a few restaurants. It’s a great place to stay for a few nights and the breakfast was fabulous.

My stay was wonderful. The property was great and staff were very friendly. The only draw back for me, was when I booked a shuttle service through the hotel for my next destination I was quoted 130 Euro. When I arrive at my destination the driver insisted that it is in fact 180 Euro. I was really disappointed to have ended my trip that way.

Generellt mycket nöjda med vistelsen. Mkt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet var renoverat och i fint skick. Övriga hotellet något slitet. Direkt från hotellet kan man åka båt till olika destinationer.

The location is the most unique aspect of this property. To be clear, the beach is not private to guests of this hotel, it is shared with the public and other hotels in the area. While it's beautiful, it is pretty crowded for a small beach, and there is tons of boat traffic. Our room was sufficient, with a great view, however it was pretty dirty, they did clean it again after we asked, but it was a bit disappointing. Staff was perfectly "nice" but they wouldn't go out of their way for us. They never even asked us how are stay was.

Stay away!
Our stay was very unpleasant. We checked in at 1:45 and were told that our room was not ready, we had to wait at the beach. We were were not clearly told that part of the beach was not for hotel guest, we had to sit on the rocks with our bags. When I used the restroom that was next to the restaurant it was dirty and smelled. That was the reason we did not eat there. Room was very dated, old and did not smell well. Bed was very hard and there was no blanket on it. AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK. We requested a manager to take a look at it, she pressed few buttons and it worked for about 10 minutes, and shut off. Room was very hot, by the time we were ready to go to bed, no one was at the front desk to help us. We did not sleep at all. Breakfast was brought to our room the night before as we had to leave early. Stale bread, ONE egg and box of Corn Flakes. I will leave it at that! Beach was nice, but small, barely any room to sit down. Overall horrible stay!.

About the check in : room was ready at 14.00 ( this is our check in time from 14:00 to 21:00) your check in time on our sheduling was at 14: 10 . the beach: on the beach there is the free zone or the private zone where you can rent the sunbeds . Room : We clean our rooms every day and we have not had any complaints in the past about our rooms being not smell well Our house keeping staff are very thorough and do their jobs very well. blanket are in the wardrobe, and AC work well . infact we checked two time your AC ( first time with you and the second time at the breakfast delivery) about the take away brekfast was like your order : eggs, cheese, ham , bread ,fruit, yougurt and cereal . we're sorry you didn't like it. the staff close the reception at 23.00 but at any time you can press 9 on the phone to call us . We try to make the stay of our guests as comfortable as possible. It was a pleasure to serve you. and we really hoppe to meet you again at the hotel alfonso a mare . Yours sincerely,

Der Gast bezahlt hier für die Lage, die wirklich ausergewöhnlich ist. Die schmale Schlucht öffnet sich zu einem kaum 80 Meter breiten Kiesstrand mit kristallklarem Wasser. Direkt dahinter das Hotel, einige kleine Restaurants und Pensionen. Das Hotel dürfte eines der ganz wenigen an der Amalfiküste mit direkter Strandlage sein. Wir hatten das teure Zimmer mit eingeschränkter Meeressicht, das in Ordnung war - ebenso der Service.

The location is great, very close and walkable to Africana night club. The hotel was amazing and clean! The view is amazing! The restaurant at the hotel was delicious and so was breakfast! I like that they reserve the beach chairs for hotel guests, but they are $20 each, which wasn’t worth it for us because we only had 2 hours. Also, the hotel has onsite parking which is extremely rare for the the coast! Highly recommend!

The best
The hotel is a no frills establishment. The rooms are basic and clean with a mini fridge but not stocked. There is no room service. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food served at the hotel is on par with the other restaurants around. However I did notice that the guests weren't hurried and stayed open longer than the other restaurants. It has to be the best located hotel as it's right on the beach and no need to walk up and down a million stairs to get to the beach. You basically walk from your hotel onto the beach. There is a jetty where you can take water taxes to elsewhere on the Amalfi coast. I would suggest that they get a golf cart to take guests up to the main road to get taxis elsewhere
