Stayed Fri. 8/7/20- Sun 8/9/20 for a couples wknd. Hotel lobby and grounds are nice. Room was clean,came with refridgerator and coffeemaker. Sink next to small bathroom. Balcony overlooking lake would've been great, if it didn't have spiderwebs everywhere. Service at Highlands restaurant was very poor, waited 30 min and still no orders were taken. Bar restaurant food arrived at table cold. They took it back but it should'nt have happened

I booked a Lakeview room with Hotel.com with you. It definitely said lakeview. When I got there they gave me a parking lot view room. This was not a special request. It was what I paid for. They were neither nice nor apologetic about it. I have received more warmth and willingness to please a guest from Best Western. They did not move me. .

Great couples weekend
Had a great time at Eagle Ridge. Staff was super friendly! Great amenities too! Free wine tasting, great entertainment, great food, and yoga and mimosas!? Was great weekend!

We’ll be back!
It was a pleasant stay. Nice hotel, good food and service. A little old/not so well maintained or need a renovation/facelift... Spa service was excellent. Winter festival was interesting. Will be back to visit again!

Villa really needed updates...painting and other work to make them worth the $200+ per night.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time out of your day to write a review about your stay at our resort. We truly appreciate all the reviews we receive and we share these reviews with our staff on a weekly basis. We also have to agree that we are a perfect romantic getaway. Thank you for mentioning the villa you stayed in. Many of our guest do not realize until after they come to the resort that we have over 200 rental properties from one bedroom villas and condos to six bedroom homes to choose from besides the 80 guest rooms we have at the inn. When you go to our website, you can click on Rental Homes and then you can search from one bedroom to six bedroom homes. Each of the homes have very detailed pictures including all the bedrooms, baths and amenities the home has to offer. We do have a lot of wild life at the resort from turkeys as you mentioned, deer, over 200 types of birds including our Bald Eagles. Please like us on Facebook! Great location and scenery. Villas could use some updating and directions for floorboard heater operations for guests to not overheat the villa.

The room felt outdated and had a musty smell. The bathroom was too small. The bed/sheets were very uncomfortable. I felt like I was in a motel. I expected more out of a “resort/spa.”

It was a nice visit and the staff was kind, but the building needs upgrading and it needs to be modernized for the price you pay. There are still wall units for heat and air (no central air or heat), which makes for very dry, loud heat. The sink is in the main bedroom and the bathroom is so small you can barely shut the door without standing on the toilet. You can hear everyone enter and walk around in the rooms above and beside you. It's not worth the money you spend.

Great resort - needs a bit of updating. Old-fashioned coffee makers need to be replaced by Keurig.

Lots of Potential But Needs Room Updating
Lovely setting despite rainy weather. Second time here since it is the closest hotel to relatives in the area. Once again the room smelled heavily like mildew. Metal stair trim was rusting. Doors to the room and within the room stuck very badly so hard to get in and out of the room - same with the bathroom. Looked like possible mold on the ceiling. The mildew odor is just very off putting. While the common areas in the lobby and restaurant are kept up nicely, the rooms are not. At a minimum the rooms need dehumidifiers to improve the situation.

Almost perfect!
Great time for our now annual girls weekend in Galena. Excellent service at the bar, front desk and clubhouse at the East golf course. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only problems which were easily overlooked because of the great staff, was no bev cart person on course and it was 95 degrees, air conditioning not working in the bar on Friday night and it was packed and lastly, not enough dining room staff. We were seated and given menus and no one came back to serve us, so after 20 minutes, we went to the bar and ordered delicious food there for our second evening in a row. Waitresses were superb and fun! Guitar player was amazing. Just a really fun weekend at a beautiful property!

The Villa was nice. The table and chairs on the deck were disgusting, dirty. As was the door mat. They had moss growing all over them. Unusable. Had to buy bag chairs to use. Not what I expected for the price per night.

The property needs a facelift. The bathtub in room 312 is beyond disgusting. There were dead flies all over the balcony and the property looked as if it hadn't been painted in 10 years. Very disappointed with the property. The staff on the other hand were exceptional, especially Andrea in the restaurant and Trinity at the boat dock.

Stayed in the courtyard room for one night, place really needs a facelift. Bed was comfortable, but the room air conditioner was unable to cool the room in the 90 degree weather. Breakfast buffet was very good and the round of golf made the stay worthwhile.

Beautiful Lodge in a Beautiful Setting
The property is beautiful and the spacious room had a wall of windows overlooking the lake. The only disappointing thing was that the bathroom shower/bath samples were not replaced the next day. It’s just a little personal something I notice because I take them to a women’s shelter in my area.
