“Spoke to Lodge beforehand as we were turnng up very late. All very accomodating. Bed felt as though it was sloping down and my husband felt he was about to fall off when turning over. Other than that the room wasvery comfortable and certaiyvadequate for what we were after. Breakfast is basic cereals, coffee, tea and toast available on a DIY basis in guest kitchen lounge area. Although Wee Bear Cafe is available for foid etc after 1000, which is after check out at 0930. ”

“Quiet enjoyable break. Rooms and shower warm, service friendly and hotel clean. Jus one or two bits needed attention, however, they have signs stating that they are currently upgrading. Breakfast was great to start you off and the pool and gym are a bonus. Location good for walks and facilities in the town. We would come back for another stay if in Forfar”

“The property was stunning and in a great quiet location next to a small steam yet close enough to drive for a carry out if you don,t feel like cooking. “Wow! The photos don't do the place justice, its amazing! The communication and access are easy, on arrival a lady showed me the place, there's a set of 4 or 5 together which are seperate from the tourers etc. Theres nothing you don't need inside, shower, toilet, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster etc and all top branded quality stuff. “Lovely little property in the heart of rural Scotland: however, the property hadn't been cleaned or the beds changed prior to our arrival! We contacted the owner who informed us a cleaner would be with us by 10am the following day. “We stayed in this lovely flat in the pretty village of Edzell for one week. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect location. We had great walks in the village and beyond and the park across the road was ideal for our young Labrador. We would definitely recommend it. Many thanks.”

“Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+”

“The booking process was awful 3 websites and 1.5 hours on the phone to get our payment accepted. However, once in Edzell, we were more than happy with the welcome and friendliness shown by Alan. The house was exactly as stated. It suited us perfectly; was comfortable, spacious in bedroom and sitting room; lovely bathroom etc We would certainly recommend it. The local area was also beautiful and wonderful for cycling.”
