Every unit does have their own adjustable air control panel to control and regulate temperature. If their was an issue or you were unaware how to operate we could have sent someone up to show you.

Hi Alison,Thank you so much for staying and taking the time to let us know about your stay. It is always great to hear when guests have enjoyed their stay. Being self contained apartments unfortunately if we didn't kindly ask guests to remove rubbish and leave units in a clean and respectful manner rubbish and things like dishes get left in a terrible state which takes cleaners longer than the cost and set time of what is built into offering lower rates. Cleaners do still thoroughly clean the apartment to an expected level for incoming guests.

We have followed up and have discovered the smell is from the new curtains installed they day before you arrived, and should have been cleaned before being hung. We will also be speaking with our cleaning who should have done a much better job with the other cleanliness issue you raised which we sincerely apologize for.
